This form is for owners wishing join the waiting list to SURRENDER their small pets to NWI Chinchillas. We are located in Wolcott IN.

What type of animal(s) are you wanting to surrender? Type quantity AND kind of animal. (for example -- 2 chinchillas, 3 guinea pigs, 1 bunny, etc.) We typically accept chinchillas, guinea pigs, rabbits, rats, hedgehogs and similar animals. (Sorry, we do NOT accept dogs or cats.) *

Tell us the SEX of each animal. if more than one, do they live together? (We need to know how many separate living facilities your animals will need. Please make this clear.) *

There is a $50 surrender fee when surrendering your pet to NWI Chinchillas, accepted in CASH ONLY. This fee is charged *per cage* of pets. This covers food, hay, bedding, and care while they are in our facility, as well as our time finding a new home for your pet. Do you understand? *

We are located in Wolcott Indiana. As the owner, YOU are responsible for transporting pet(s) to us. Are you able to make this trip when we have space for your pet? *

When we have an opening at our rescue, we will reach out to you via text message. If you do not *respond* to our text message and schedule an appointment within the first 48 hours of that contact, the opening will be made available to the next animal on the list. (The drop-off does *not* need to be within 48 hours...we just need to set the appointment quickly). Are you able to do this?

It's an unfortunate reality that we have a waiting list 100% of the time. Due to this, we try our best to always keep the waiting list moving, by immediately contacting people on the waiting list when a rescue gets adopted and a cage opens up. This is why it's important that we set appointments within 48 hours (see above question), and also, that those appointments are within 14 days of the time contact is made. Will you be able to bring your animal into the rescue within 14 days of when we reach out to you?
