Info about the Black Joy Mass Choir

What is the Black Joy Mass Choir? The Black Joy Mass Choir is a large group of singing enthusiasts from around the Bay Area who want to contribute to the parade by lending their voices (or other musical talents) and performing for the masses.

Why are we doing this? For so many reasons! It's been a rough 2 years and we want to give folks a creative outlet and way to come together in a fun and safe space. It's also another opportunity to get involved in the Black Joy Parade. And we know some of y'all miss being in a choir.

Who can join the mass choir? Any and everyone! Some singing acumen and choir experience preferred

Is the choir religious? We will sing some well known gospel songs, but we will add our joyful twist with uplifting and positive "secular" songs.

Where will we perform? At the parade!
