Women's Entrepreneurship Council Application
Application to join the WEC, an affiliate Council of the Downtown Denver Partnership and serving The Commons on Champa.

Our Goal: Denver becomes the best place in the country for women to start businesses. We'll prove it by increasing the percentage of entrepreneurs that identify as female in our city to 50%.
Kauffman Foundation research has found “that if minorities started and owned businesses at the same rate non-minorities do, the United States would have more than one million additional
employer businesses and approximately nine-point-five million more jobs in the economy.”

What We Do + Why
The Women’s Council engages (and serves) a diverse community of women in entrepreneurship or women wanting to enter into – or be inspired by - entrepreneurship.

• In service to the work at The Commons on Champa, we leverage existing programs to ensure that the largest number of women have access to meaningful and game-changing opportunities and resources available to them.
• Connect women to entrepreneurial role models to share advice, and share in the successes and failures.
• Convene essential resources that help entrepreneurial women and their businesses thrive.
• Build a community where women are supported in their entrepreneurial journey.
• Provide access to entrepreneurial resources supporting business growth; eliminate barriers and hurdles to successful business (and life).
