SINGING
"One who sings prays twice."
                                          ~ St. Augustine

Want to double your prayers without more words? Considering singing your prayer!

The parish choir sings on Sundays at 11:00 am and major solemnities throughout the year, including Christmas and Easter. We are recruiting all voices -- soprano, alto, tenor, bass. The ability to read music is helpful but not required; we will help you learn. Rehearsals once a week (day and time TBD) September through May.

We are also in need of cantors at all Masses to lead the congregation in song, especially the Responsorial Psalm and Gospel Acclamation ("Alleluia") verses. Training will be provided. Cantor rehearsals will be held once a month (day and time TBD).

INSTRUMENTS
Instrumentalists are welcomed and encouraged to enhance our music throughout the liturgical year. Music will be provided.

The liturgical ensemble is open to anyone who plays a brass, woodwind, or string instrument and will play at special solemnities throughout the year, averaging once per month:
  1. Christmas (December/January)
  2. Last weekend before Lent (February or March)
  3. Easter (March or April)
  4. Pentecost (May or June)
  5. Corpus Christi (May or June)
  6. Christ the King (November)
  7. ...additional times as needed (e.g., Confirmation)
Adept weekend instrumentalists are also welcome to play informally at any weekend liturgy, either regularly or sporadically. We are especially looking for violin, flute, and clarinet or oboe.

Please list the instrument(s) you play and indicate your proficiency (beginner, intermediate, proficient, I used to play and would like to get back into it, etc.)
ACCOMPANISTS
Do you play the piano or organ? Let's talk! We need accompanists (piano or organ) for funerals during the week (as needed), weddings (usually only a few a year), and substitutes throughout the year. We would also love to have a pianist to play with the choir and liturgical. Music will be provided.
