Rental Rates

As per policy, MANDIR STRICTLY PROHIBITS the use of ALCOHOL, TOBACCO, MEAT, and possession of FIREARMS on its premises. Failure to abide will result in immediate termination of this rental agreement, future rentals, and forfeiture of the Security Deposit.

In addition, a penalty fee of $2,500 will be charged to the credit card provided for security in the event of any violation of this policy.

Renter MUST ABIDE by Metro Chattanooga / Hamilton County Noise Ordinance, which is APPLICABLE and ENFORCED after 11:00 pm.

Current Year Paid Members have the first right to rent the facility over Current Year Non-Paid Members on a first-come, first-served basis, based on the booking date.

Current Year Paid Member rental is strictly for MANDIR’s Current Year Paid Member on record. *

Permission to use SANATAN MANDIR FACILITIES does not mean SANATAN MANDIR sponsorship. The person signing this form, whether on behalf of himself/herself or an organization, business, group, etc., assumes personal liability for breakage, destruction, or removal of property by any persons attending the event and is responsible for the conduct of participants at the event. Any outside services required for the event, such as Audio/Video, Decorations, can be arranged directly only with the service providers approved by the Resource Directory available from SANATAN MANDIR. The undersigned individual(s)/organization renting facilities shall obtain, at their expense, a Certificate of Insurance from their vendors (as appropriate) for a minimum insurance of $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate, naming the Gujarati Samaj of East TN / Sanatan Mandir of Chattanooga, TN as additional insured. The Sanatan Temple shall be held harmless for any personal or property damages. Financial solicitation of any kind shall not be allowed on the SANATAN MANDIR premises without written authorization from the Sanatan Mandir BOD.

The City of Chattanooga fire code must be obeyed at all times by keeping all Exit doors clear for fire escape *
Facility and its contents are rented on an “as is” basis and hold “MANDIR” harmless and indemnify the same for any malfunctions, accidents, acts of God, and unforeseen circumstances. *
“MANDIR” is NOT responsible for loss of any personal property while on “MANDIR’s premises *
Renter is responsible for all losses or damages to the facility and contents. Facility must be returned in the same clean condition as was provided to the Renter to avoid additional charges by “MANDIR”, including tables and chairs stacked as found, Kitchen and floors cleaned, and if Kitchen utensils were used, properly cleaned and returned to their proper storing places. As soon as the function/activity is finished, I agree to turn off the lights, heating/air conditioning, audio system, and all utilities in the kitchen, etc. All chairs and tables will be put back in the proper storage area. I will ensure the removal of any trash/cleaning/vacuuming of the floors or carpets. Windows or doors will be closed and locked. Bathroom facilities will be left in good condition. It is the renter’s responsibility to ensure that all food items and other discards in garbage bags are properly tied and disposed of in the dumpster *
Facility must be returned in the same clean condition as was provided to the Renter to avoid additional charges by “MANDIR”, including tables and chairs stacked as found, Kitchen and floors cleaned, and if Kitchen utensils were used, properly cleaned and returned to their proper storing places *
Facility rental is NOT confirmed until the deposit is received and approved. *

“MANDIR” is NOT responsible for contracting or arranging for hired help/contract workers (table/chair arrangements, servers, etc.) or cleaning any area of the facility during private events.  Adequate cleaning personnel shall be available on the property based on the following:


∙ 100 people or fewer - 2 Cleaning personnel 

∙ Up to 300 people - 3 Cleaning personnel

∙ Each additional 100 people – Add 1 Cleaning personnel

“MANDIR’s” Custodian is NOT responsible for monitoring hired help/contract workers during private events.

 *

If an outside catering company is hired, the renter must provide the catering company’s license and their liability insurance certificate.

 *

If so contracted, proper communication MUST be made directly between the Catering company, Hall Coordinator, and Renter to detail the final cooking schedule and work delegation. MANDIR has a preferred list of Catering companies listed below. If, different Catering company is used, there will be additional fees charged as stated below.

A qualified technician is REQUIRED to operate the PA Sound System and/or Video Equipment, and any costs of the Technician to be paid by the Renter. *
Renter accepts terms, conditions, and liability for use of facilities. *
A Refundable Damage Deposit of $501 from Current paid members and $1,001 from ALL Current Year non-paid members for up to 500 people and $1001 from Current paid members and $1,501 from all current year non-paid members is required; refundable after complete inspection by the Hall Coordinator. *

Security is required at all private events and the cost to be paid by the Renter.

A daily trash removal fee from the Dumpster of $72 will be applied.


I, the undersigned, acknowledge that I am over 21 years of age and that I have read and fully understand the above requirements and information about the use of the SANATAN MANDIR facility. I agree, on behalf of myself and any organization, business, group, or other entity names above, to abide by the requirements and regulations of the SANATAN MANDIR and to defend, indemnify and hold the SANATAN MANDIR, its officers, agents, employees, directors and trustees, and volunteers harmless s from and against any and all loss, claims, suits, damages, and/or liabilities, including reasonable attorney’s fees, arising of the approval of my request to use the facility, or the actual use of the facility. I further agree, on behalf of myself and any organization, business, group, or other entity named above, that all claims against the SANATAN MANDIR for any damage or injury arising out of the use of the facility are hereby waived and released. I further agree on behalf of myself, and any organization, business, group, or other entity named above, to abide by all State and Federal laws, the CITY Code, and any Rules and Regulations pertaining to the use of SANATAN MANDIR facilities.

PAYMENT TERMS:


A 100% rental deposit is required from all renters at the time of booking the facility; if additional charges are calculated, the balance is due within 7 days of the Event.
