How It Works
Each indicator will give examples of the kinds of accomplishments that would typically merit each rank -- THESE ARE MERELY GUIDELINES! No need to get hung up on particulars -- if you feel you are more suited for a higher rank, yet have failed to achieve some particular tasks indicated at or below that rank, choose the rank you feel best represents where you feel you belong. Below are general descriptions to guide you in your self-evaluation:
Poor: One who receives a poor rating for a particular category possesses little discernible maturity in that area of his life, and may even be wholly ignorant of the virtues expected therein.
Fair: A fair rating marks a budding maturity in the applicable area. The candidate can display at least a rudimentary understanding of the related values, is reasonably aware of his shortcomings in that area, and has formulated the beginnings of a plan on how to grow in the appropriate virtues.
Good: The candidate has made significant progress in attaining the virtues embodied in the given category, and is practicing regular accountability as he continues to grow and mature.
Excellent: One receiving an excellent rating has exhibited a significant mastery of the given category. He has proven, after substantial and repeated testing, to consistently uphold the applicable values, even at the expense of personal gain or comfort.
Great: One who has earned the rank of “great” has done so not only by faithfully and steadfastly holding to the values embodied in the given category, but additionally by continually training up others to succeed in that same area. He has developed a significant reputation for mastery in the given virtues to the point where others approach him regularly for advice, help and mentoring, and he is consistently generous with his time and efforts to give aid selflessly where it is needed.
