Harriet Alexander Nature Center arts

Artist Lori Greene will be creating 3 mosaic cairns for Harriet Alexander nature center and we are inviting you to help decide what plants and animals should be on each stack.

(Cairns have been and are used for a broad variety of purposes. In prehistoric times, they were raised as markers, as memorials and as burial monuments)

Each cairn will hold the Flora and fauna of the prairie, the marsh and the forest.

The cairns will act as way finders as the have been typically used as well a greeting.

Each stack will have its own story about the symbiotic relationship between plants and animals in the prairie, the marsh and the forest.

Please pick up to 8 plants and or Animals for each cairn.
