Volunteer form for June 1 Hackensack Community Rain Garden installation or Boost the Block event
Thank you for your interest in helping out at the Community Rain Garden installation or Boost the Block Goes Green event at Hackensack High School on June 1.

Please provide your contact information, the time you're available, and what you would be interested in doing. 

The rain garden installation will be from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm. Boost the Block Goes Green will be from 11 am to 3 pm.  Both will be on the First Street side of the Hackensack High School campus. 

We are seeking volunteers to help in these areas:
  • Planting or moving plants (no gardening experience needed)
  • Providing information about green infrastructure or environmental justice (don't worry if you're not an expert; we'll help you with what you need to know)
  • Assisting artists with community painting activities
  • Supporting other volunteers 
  • Taking pictures
The rain garden is being produced by the Northern New Jersey Community Foundation and Hackensack Public Schools. Boost the Block Goes Green is being produced by Greater Bergen Community Action, in partnership with NNJCF.  The rain garden is part of the Green Infrastructure for Environmental Justice and Flood Mitigation program.

Children under 14 are welcome to volunteer, but must be accompanied by an older guardian.
