Directions for Completing the Application

This application is for high school seniors.  Answer all question fully.  Your application will not be considered if answers are incomplete. Complete applications must be received by April 20, 2026. 
 
 1. Request a copy of your transcript from your school counselor by April 1 BY EMAIL so that he/she will have time to gather the information and submit it to the Alumni Association. Email is easy; send the request today. The counselor will keep all the transcripts together and submit them at one time.  

2Ask a teacher who has taught you during your junior or senior year to complete the recommendation form that can be accessed on the Scholarships landing page. When you ask your teacher for the recommendation, follow through by emailing him/her the link to the form.  This email can also serve as proof that you made the request in the event that we do not receive or misplace your recommendation. The teacher will then submit the form via email to REDDEVILSCHOLARSHIP@GMAIL.COM.  The subject line shall have your name in the following format Recommendation for JOHN A. SMITH. The recommendations are also due April 20

3. You must be recommended by your principal since you are representing OUR school. It will be a blanket recommendation handled by the counselor. The counselor will request the recommendation from the principal ONLY IF you request a transcript from him/her.

2. Your cumulative GPA must be no lower that 3.5. 

Some of this information may be repeated later in the application. That is so that you do not forget to complete all the requirements.

The Red Devil Scholarship application as well as grades and recommendations must be completed and submitted on line by midnight April 20, 2026. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

The Oak Hill High/Collins High Alumni Association scholarship is awarded yearly; there is no automatic renewal. High-school seniors applying must have a minimum 3.5 GPA. The GPA for renewals is 3.0.

Applications for students under the age of 18 must have the signature of their parent/legal guardian.  If you fall into that category, print the following statement and have it signed. Give the signed statement to your guidance counselor in an envelope with your name on the outside shortly after you request a transcript and ask that it be included with your transcript.  "I, the parent/legal guardian of ______________________________________ (name of student) approve of him/her applying for a 2026-27 Red Devil Scholarship and grant OHHS permission to provide the requested information, including a transcript of grades.
