This course aims to provide a comprehensive and hands-on introduction to conducting research and designing specifically for trainees with no prior or limited experience in research, including young people and students. This course also extends beyond theoretical concepts, importantly, to focus on factual skills needed to carry out the small-scale community research project. Throughout the sessions, trainees will learn key phases of research and its approaches. These skills and knowledge will develop trainees’ capacity to identify community issues and research gaps, and gather evidence by applying the research skills gained throughout the course. Then they will be able to transform their findings into recommendations that can drive change and find practical solutions for community-related concerns.
