The Harare Declaration 2021: A New Debt Movement to make Africa a Rule Maker not a Rule Taker.
Dear Comrades,

We are sharing with you the Harare Declaration which was agreed upon by citizens of Africa from all walks of life, background, religion, gender, nationalities during the inaugural African Conference on Debt and Development (AfCoDD) that took place on 25th to 27th August 2021, both virtually and across 9 African Countries. AfCoDD was hosted by the African Forum and Network on Debt and Development (AFRODAD) in partnership with 33 partner organisations.

During AfCoDD we noted with grave concern the risk of seeing another debt crisis such as that which unfolded in the late 1980s and 1990s, and the need to learn from the mistakes made at the time. We therefore summarised our deliberations, recommendations for a new debt movement to make Africa a Rule maker not Rule Taker, and corresponding demands in the Harare Declaration which we please request you to READ here https://afrodad.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/The-Harare-Declaration-2021.docx-5.pdf and ENDORSE by filling the form below.

In Solidarity,
AFRODAD.
