Here is our mission statement for some additional background: "UConn’s Mixed Heritage Program focuses on creating an all-inclusive community for students to come together and share their experiences. Mixed heritage can entail anything that relates to one who has experienced a mixture of two or more cultures throughout their life. One of the missions of the group is to bring awareness that mixed heritage is a broad term that includes, but is not limited to, one’s identity in their gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, nationality, or adoptive background.”
