Eagle County Wildfire Collaborative Neighborhood Ambassador Program Sign up
With the growing intensity of the wildfire seasons and extreme drought conditions in our area, it has become apparent that we must reach out to those whom these fires will impact most; homeowners and community members. For this reason, the Eagle County Wildfire Collaborative is looking for these folks to engage in a Neighborhood Ambassador program, for which we are coordinating a group of volunteers from HOAs and neighborhoods that are interested in mobilizing their communities to engage in wildfire safety and wildfire preparedness. The ideal candidates for the volunteer positions are those that are passionate about linking their neighborhood to trusted wildfire education resources and enthusiastic about protecting their community against the threat of wildfire. The ambassadors will also have insight into funding available to their communities and the capacity to coordinate mitigation projects (chipping days, curbside cleanups, group assessments, etc). Does this program sound like something that you or someone that you know would like to be a part of? Sign up below! Feel free to contact Katie Jenkins (Wildfire Mitigation Specialist - Eagle County Gov't) at katie.jenkins@eaglecounty.us with any questions.
