Demand-Driven Open Data

You are cordially invited to participate in a research study on the demand for and use of open data and open financial data.

GOALS OF THE SURVEY:
Many organizations have expended significant effort to provide open data about their activities and finances; this study will help inform the continued practical growth of open data initiatives and better tailor data products and services for greater impact.

This survey is being conducted by the World Bank Open Finances (https://finances.worldbank.org) and the World Bank Institute's Open Government (www.open-contracting.org ) teams to better understand the demand for open data with a focus on financial information. Specifically, we are seeking to understand the gap between supply and demand of information and to discover open data use cases with implications for an international development context. The results of the survey will also be used to design an offline open data feedback pilot.

Ultimately, we hope the findings from the survey and pilots will increase understanding for both publishers and users and inform activities that will result in more relevant, accessible, and widely-used data.
