Description: This one-hour, online workshop will provide an overview of advanced search techniques for use in the Cochrane Library (interface updated Spring 2018). Through a combination of demonstrations and hands-on activities, participants will learn how to construct a complex, multi-concept search using the Search Manager function. The instructor, Robin Parker, will also discuss when and why these search approaches are appropriate and will provide tips for interpreting the resulting evidence. This session is designed for information professionals and researchers who have some familiarity with the concepts of advanced searching as well a degree of comfort reading and understanding health research.
