First Annual Rally for Education Tennis Tournament sponsored by UNT Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity and the UTA Vietnamese Student Association


This is our First Annual Rally for Education Tennis Tournament. All proceeds and donations will directly support Darfur Dream Team to construct school facilities, provide educational materials, and provide for dedicated teachers in 12 Darfur villages.

Sign up now! First come, first serve registration. There will be a limit of 16 players for competitive brackets, 8 players for non-competitive brackets, and 16 teams for mixed doubles. We will collect registration donations the day of the tournament, however we appreciate it if you can pay early in person with either Huong Duong or John Ting in order to guarantee your spot in the tournament.

Here are the details of the tournament:

When: Saturday, August 8, 2009

Where: UTA Tennis Center
909 W. Greek Row
Arlington, Texas 76013

Time: 8:00am-9:00pm (possibly earlier)

What to bring: Each player is to bring 1 new can of tennis balls (we will be selling tennis balls at the tournament)

Registration: $15 minimum donation, must be at least 15 years old to register

Divisions:
Men's Singles- Competitive/Non-Competitive
Women's Singles- Competitive/Non-Competitive
Mixed Doubles

Winners:1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for each division will receive medals

Play Format:
1. Best of 3 sets (each set is to 6)
2. If score is 1-1, a regular Tie breaker will be played on the 3rd set.
3. No-Ad Scoring
4. Single elimination

Forfeit time: 15 minutes after game time

Disqualification: Unsportsmanlike behavior (so keep it friendly) or if you have registered but have not paid your registration 1 hour before your game starts.

All players need to check in by 8:00am the day of the tournament.
