Tennis Festival
The CTOs can host a community tennis festival to introduce tennis to kids and adults. This could also be for lapse players that would like to return to the sport. A festival could be a stand-alone event or connected to another larger community event. The festival must lead attendees to follow-up USTA tennis programs in the community such as the USTA Play And Learn Tennis program, USTA Jr Team Tennis or USTA League or Social Play program.  A summary report of the event along with the receipts of expenses are required before the grant funds are issued.
Describe the purpose of the tennis festival and how it will lead participants to USTA programs such as Play & Learn Tennis, Jr Team Tennis, Adult Leagues and Tournaments. Also describe how you will promote the event and what other community tennis members (i.e. coaches/clubs/teams) will be supporting the event.
Adult Tournament
The grant provides funds for the tournament to partner with an existing CTA or Tournament Director to assist at an event within the Hawaii Pacific Section. Assistance could include promotion of the event through CTO’s website and/or social media platforms, providing officials on site, organizing a team of volunteers for the event, supplying equipment for the tournament, etc. The goals are to continue to foster the relationship between CTOs and local providers, and to enhance the player experience at these events.
Junior Tournament (Organizer)
The grant provides funds for the tournament to partner with an existing CTA or Tournament Director to assist at an event within the Hawaii Pacific Section. Assistance could include promotion of the event through CTO’s website and/or social media platforms, providing officials on site, organizing a team of volunteers for the event, supplying equipment for the tournament, etc. The goals are to continue to foster the relationship between CTOs and local providers, and to enhance the player experience at these events.
