Cato Manor Innovator Support Programme
The Cato Manor Innovator Support Programme is an Innovate Durban programme that runs in three phases over a 12 month period. The programme is aimed at supporting innovative entrepreneurs, startups, inventors, non-profits, civil servants, students, and existing small enterprises.
What is innovation?
Innovation is a significant positive change, it is the creation of something that improves the way we live our lives.
A new and good idea: an innovation has to be new, but also good or better than previous things in some way. Something can be an innovative idea, before it’s a product or a tangible, usable thing.
Innovation can be defined simply as a "new idea, device or method". However, innovation is often also viewed as the application of better solutions that meet new requirements, needs, or existing market needs. The term "innovation" can be defined as something original and more effective.
