We appreciate your interest in visiting the Children’s Holocaust Memorial. Please remember we are a fully functioning school and ONLY offer guided tours. A guided tour will include our artifacts room, research library and railcar. In order to best accommodate everyone with our school schedule, tour dates must be booked 7 days in advance and are limited to 60 people. The cost is $2 per person (cash or check only) and donations are welcomed.
Please note the following schedule for tours:
For groups larger than 20 (schools need 1 chaperone per 10 students):
- September to mid-April: Guided tours are available every Friday, from 9:00 to 10:30 AM CST. Friday tours fill quickly, so please plan accordingly.
For groups smaller than 20 and families:
- September to mid-April: Guided in-person tours are offered on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30-9:30 AM CST, but are subject to availability depending on scheduled school activities.
For any visitors:
- Mid-April to May: Guided tours are limited, due to end-of-the-year celebrations.
- June to July: Guided tours are subject to our summer office hours.
- August: We will be closed for maintenance of the railcar and artifacts collection, and training of student tour guides.
Zoom tours:
- January to mid-April: Zoom tours are subject to availability depending on scheduled school activities, and are offered from 8:00-9:00 AM CST.
Things to Remember for Guided Tours:

- Visitors are expected to be quiet, respectful, and dress appropriately.
- All adult visitors will need a driver's license for a visitor badge (school personnel included). Schools will also need a list of students in attendance.
- There is a single, handicap accessible restroom available. Large groups travelling may want to stop before arriving.
- If you are requesting multiple dates and tours, please complete a form for each request.
Upon receipt of request, you will receive an email within 7 business days with more information.
