Dear Sir/Madam,
The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of the love of money on happiness among Malaysian Chinese and Singaporean Chinese. The love of money is measured by the Love of Money Scale (LOMS) developed by Tang and associates (Tang et al., 2002; Tang & Tang, 2002); it indicates how meaningful is money to an individual. Happiness on the other hand is measured by Lyubomirsky and Lepper's (1999) Subjective Happiness Scale (SHS); it indicates how happy is an individual in general.
If you are all of the following, you have fulfilled the criteria to participate in this study:
1. Participants must be aged 18 years old and above.
2. Participants must be either a Malaysian or Singaporean.
3. Participants must be Chinese.
The time taken to complete this survey is approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on participant’s reading speed. Participation in this study is voluntary. Completion of the survey will indicate your consent to participate in this study. You are allowed to withdraw from this study and discontinue participation at any time during the survey without prejudice. The information that you have provided in this survey will remain confidential and will only be used for the purpose of this research.
