FEJS General Assembly 2014 Vaasa, Finland - Application Form
Dear applicant,

The 2014 General Assembly of The Forum for European Journalism Students (FEJS international v.z.w) will be held in Vaasa, Finland from the 6th to the 10th of November 2014. If you wish to apply, please fill out the application form below.

Please note that we have 50 slots available. Participants will be selected based on time of application, relevance of study/work field and number of applicants per country. If all the slots are filled, extra applicants will be placed on the waiting list.

The FEJS events are focused on work and information exchange among students of journalism around Europe and not just leisure – attendance to all official scheduling is required. If you wish to participate, please fill in this application form correctly.

The deadline for applying is Thursday the 18th of September. You will receive notification of your application status (i.e. acceptance or waiting list) on or before Friday the 19th of September.

The participation fee is €130 and covers food, lodging and lectures/workshops for the duration of the event. Transport costs to/from Vaasa are not covered by the participation fee.

If you think you are eligible for a financial compensation from FEJS, you can apply for a grant from the FEJS Solidarity Fund. A deposit of at least €80 must be paid by Monday the 29th of September. If you fail to make this deadline, you wil be taken off the participants list.

NB: If you cancel your attendance before Monday the 6th of October, you will receive a full refund of you participation fee deposit. Cancelling after this date means you lose your participation fee deposit, unless you are able to find a replacement before Monday the 13th of October. The reason we can't refund participation fee deposits with cancellations after Monday the 6th of October is that costs (hotels, restaurants, lecturers, etc.) have already been made by the organisers and we can't find a replacement for your spot on such short notice.
