Registration: Information Session on Indicator Methodology for Target 23
The Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KM-GBF) recognizes the essential role of gender equality and empowerment of women and girls, and the need to reduce inequalities for its successful implementation. It has adopted Target 23 to ensure a gender-responsive implementation of KMGBF but there is no clear methodology in place to monitor the progress of Target 23. To address this, Women4Biodiversity and UNEP-WCMC are developing a methodology for the indicator of the implementation of the CBD Gender Plan of Action. This information session is meant to help gather initial inputs for further refinement of the methodology and to present it during the upcoming CBD SBSTTA 26 and SBI 4.
