Payment of FEES POLICY:

FEES

Fees are payable termly (a term following the school year of between 11 and 14 weeks). The school offers fees to be broken down into 2 installments, but the commitment is for the whole term.

Fees must be paid by the start of term (the first Saturday), if fees remain unpaid by the 3rd week of term, this may risk pupil’s places in the school and forthcoming show. Please contact Suzanne immediately if any financial hardship is being experienced and payment plans may be organised.

Paying fees on time allows us to secure venues, performance rights, props, technical support, and equipment for our upcoming productions, all of which need to be reserved well in advance to ensure availability. As all our shows are non-profit, timely payments are also crucial for maintaining our staffing levels, upholding standards, and ensuring uninterrupted and safe training for pupils. Delays in payment can seriously impact these areas and, consequently, the overall student experience

NOTICE PERIOD FOR LEAVING

We have a very low student turnover, and most of our students stay with us for a long time once enrolled. However, if a student needs to leave, a notice period of half a term is required. This is standard practice in stage schools and ensures that spaces can be offered to students on the waiting list without disrupting the ongoing training of current students.

Please note that fees are non-refundable if a student leaves during the term or is absent for any reason.

SAFEGUARDING

The school has very high standards in safeguarding.
All staff are qualified teachers and DBS checked.
The school is fully insured.
1st safeguarding officer is Suzanne Scale.
2nd safeguarding officer is Sarah Broad.
The school doors will always remain locked apart from drop-off and collection times, which are managed by staff.
To allow your child to walk home, please complete the consent that will follow.
To allow your child to leave early independently, we will need written consent (text is fine)  from the primary or secondary caregiver to Suzanne directly.
For further information on safeguarding, please contact one of the officers above.
Your child's safety is paramount.
*
I give consent for my child to walk home independently from the school at 3pm.  *
SHOW TIME POLICY
When your child is offered a part and is part of our annual show, it's very important that parents and pupils understand the commitment involved. It is wonderful to be part of a show, but absences can affect others and their show experience.

SEPT- DEC TERM
This term is essential rehearsal time, so any absences must be avoided. Saturdays should be a priority commitment. Any illness must be reported to Suzanne or Sarah as soon as possible by 9am Saturday.

JAN - MARCH SHOW TERM
These are crucial rehearsals in the lead-up to the show.
Absences are not permitted only in the case of unexpected illness. All illnesses must be reported by 9am Saturdays.

SHOW RED ZONE
We are introducing a the SHOW RED ZONE, this is 1 month (or 4 Saturdays) before the show.
If any of these Saturdays are missed, the pupil will jeopardise their participation in the show and may have to be replaced.

FINAL WEEKS
It is not permitted to miss any of the following:
Tech rehearsal
Dress rehearsal
Any shows

Suzanne will always give all important term dates and show dates in September of each year to give advance notice. Please put all these dates in your diary as soon as they are given.

*
IMPORTANT! Please add any dates below that you know your child will be absent due to pre-planned commitments.
