Support & Stay Engaged: DPS Correction on the School Performance Framework
Whereas, both families and educators deserve honest and accurate information about how schools are performing,

Whereas, in the Fall of 2017 Denver Public Schools released a School Performance Framework (SPF) that showed inflated performance in elementary schools across the district,

Whereas, a coalition of community and civil rights organizations respectfully pushed DPS to be honest with families, to share accurate performance data broadly and begin a wider conversation on a more accurate SPF,

Whereas this action resulted in Denver Public Schools conducting focus groups, sending home information to families about accurate student performance and committing that they will work towards a more accurate and honest SPF this coming year,

We, the undersigned, support DPS to continue this path to ensure parents and families have an honest and transparent understanding of school performance, commit to stay engaged and urge DPS to move toward a new SPF that will ensure greater relevance for all.
