Terms and Conditions (IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Please read!)

1. PAYMENTS

You can pay by debit/credit card, cash, payment link, or bank transfer with no extra fees.

Please note that all payments for the package fee and books are non-refundable once made. 

In the event of force majeure preventing you from attending the classes, UCAM may consider the payment as a credit toward the next batch of classes, provided the credit is used within three months.

2. INSTALLMENT PAYMENTS WITH TABBY

If you would like to pay in installments we have the option of Tabby, you can pay in 4 monthly payments. A 7% comission will apply. 

Let us know if you would like to use and we will send you the Tabby payment link.


3. CANCELATION OF CLASSES

If you are not able to attend to a class you should inform us at least 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE. If you don't inform us prior to that time the full class would be charged and deducted from the total hours.

4. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

For online classes, students must have a stable internet connection, a computer or tablet with a functioning microphone and camera. It's not advisable to conect from the mobile phone.

It is recommended to keep the camera on during the class to get the most out of it.

The platform used for online sessions will be Blackboard Collaborate. Students are required to familiarize themselves with Blackboard Collaborate before the classes begins to ensure smooth participation.  

It is the student’s responsibility to ensure these technical requirements are met to fully participate in the classes.

5. CLASS MATERIALS AND CLASS LINK

Purchasing the physical student book is mandatory for both online and in-person classes for adults, teens and kids. The adult book costs 250 AED and the teens and kids ones costs 200 AED and must be paid before the classes begin. The only case when is not required is for DELE preparation classes. 

To collect the physical book, you may either visit the center in person or arrange for a courier to pick it up on your behalf.

For online classes, a session link will be provided before the classes starts. This link will remain the same throughout the entire classes, ensuring easy access to all sessions.

6. TEACHERS

UCAM will provide a certified, native Spanish-speaking teacher for the duration of the package.

UCAM reserves the right to change the assigned teacher during the package as needed. However, students will be notified in advance of any teacher changes.

7. WHATSAPP GROUP

Before the classes begin, UCAM will create a WhatsApp group that includes the student, the teacher and UCAM administrative staff. This group will be used to share important information related to the classes, as well as details about other events and activities.

Teachers will respond to students' inquiries within this group during working hours. Please respect everyone's rest time by avoiding messages outside of these hours.


8. LEVEL EXAM AND CERTIFICATE

In order to get level certificate, you should complete 60 hours of Private classes, including the final exam.

Upon passing the exam, you will be eligible to receive a certificate issued by the UCAM Spanish Institute. You can request your certificate from the administrative staff (espanol@ae.ucam.edu), who will provide you with an online one. If you require a physical copy please let us know.


9. COURSE WITHDRAWALS

If you choose to withdraw from the classes after it has begun, please be aware that no refunds will be issued. 


10. BEHAVIORAL EXPECTATIONS

Students are expected to attend classes regularly, engage actively in the learning process, and treat instructors and fellow students with respect. Failure to meet these expectations may result in dismissal from the classes without a refund.

11. PRIVACY POLICY


UCAM is committed to safeguarding your privacy. We respect your choice not to have your personal information shared with other parties. Your personal data will be handled with the utmost care and confidentiality.


12. DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION

UCAM will not disclose or share any personal information you provide without your explicit consent, except as required by law, such as in response to a court order, subpoena, or similar legal mandate. In cases where it is necessary to protect the rights, property, and safety of UCAM, its users, or third parties, disclosure may be warranted. UCAM will never sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others.
