Stronger Than Hate Kippot
My name is Rebecca Wilson and I am currently a freshman in high school. I am a proud Jew. My mom grew up in Squirrel Hill and my dad did his residency there. My Dad belonged to the Tree of Life synagogue and my Mom attended it many times. My grandparents live in Pittsburgh and I have very close ties to this community. The Pittsburgh shooting was a tragedy for everyone. Many Jews wear kippot as a reminder G!d is always with them but a kippah is also a way to show you are proud of being Jewish. A kippah is a very good way for Jewish males to communicate we are stronger than hate. This is why I have chose to design a Kippah that shows you one is a proud Jew and also a way to give back. I will be charging $18 dollars per kippah and all proceeds will be donated to The Jewish Family and Children's Service in Pittsburgh. Feel free to make a donation without the purchase of a kippah. We will collect donations by check or venmo but please specify you do not want to purchase one. The picture of the kippot is below. The second order will be placed on January 7th. If you would like to buy one or a few you must order by this date. The kippot will take four to six weeks to make. You can have your kippah mailed for an extra charge. You may also pick your Kippah up at any of the pick up points. The pick up date and time for the pick up locations will be shared once the kippot arrive. there is a student discount of 8 dollars per Kippot but the regular price is 18 dollars. Please venmo the money to @Carol-Wilson-62 or mail a check payable to Jewish Family and Children's Services to 3030 W Turner Street Allentown, PA 18104.
