Beverly Anderson has started an Alpha/ Beta/ ARC team and is looking for a couple more members who would like to join her team. This means you'll have first looks at:
- cover ideas
- plots
- early access to her books
- get first draft access (ALPHAS)
- chances to influence her writing
- chances to influence other aspects (graphics, teasers, covers, etc)
- chance at swag, paperbacks, or other related goodies
Please note: Alpha and Betas should not change the original document, but should leave notes or comments instead, as well as highlight. Beverly will look at all suggestions and fix what needs to be fixed herself, so she can take in all notes.
Requirements for Alpha:
- You will read through Beverly’s first and unedited draft by the date given.
- You will send all suggestions to Beverly by the date given.
- Do not be afraid to be thorough and really help make the story the best it can be.
- While reviewing the first draft, make notes about what suggestions you can give:
- originality
- pace of the story
- character development
- setting - does it make sense, is it needed, does it match
- overall plot
- underdevelopments to the storytelling
- plot holes
- dialogue
Requirements for Beta: - You will read Beverly’s second and not fully edited draft by the date given.
- You will send all edit suggestions to Beverly by the given date.
- Be honest and fair in your feedback.
- Be responsive and tactful.
- While reviewing the second draft, you will need to:
- give in-depth critiques about grammatical errors, story lines, characters, etc.
- dig deep into the story, making sure the story will be representing the target base
- be sure the story fits the genre
- be sure the story resonates with you in some way.
Requirements:
- Reviews must be posted to Goodreads, Bookbub (if applicable) and Beverly’s website (link will be provided with each ARC) by the books release date. Reviews on Amazon, iBooks, Barnes & Nobles, etc. are due within five days of release.
- ARC readers who receive ARC's but fail to post for two manuscripts, will be removed from the ARC team.
- ARC's will be sent via Bookfunnel.
- You agree that the ARC is for your reading only and that is not to be copied, shared or posted anywhere.
