Do you currently do (plant or animal) cell tissue culture with undergraduates? (not a requirement for membership)
The primary activity of CBEC will be the development of "Cell Blocks," modules consisting of written and video protocols and classroom implementation strategies and assessments. Because the Cell Blocks will have similar basic components, they will be able to be mixed and matched to answer novel questions. The implementation of multiple Cell Blocks will serve as the basis for semester-long research projects that provide the foundation for independent student research projects.
If you would like to develop a Cell Block, please describe or indicate the research topic of the Cell Block that you envision creating (this is not a proposal it is just a way for us to organize our funding efforts). For example are doing anti-cancer drugs, toxicity, cell differentiation, immuno-staining? Just basic idea of your interest is all.
