Cubase 7 Elicenser Activation Code - How to

Activate Your Steinberg Software

If you have purchased or downloaded Cubase 7, you will need to activate it by entering an elicenser

activation code in the eLicenser Control Center. This article will explain what an elicenser activation

code is, where to find it, and how to use it.

What is an elicenser activation code?

An elicenser activation code is a unique 32-digit code that allows you to download and store a

license for your Steinberg software on your computer or a USB-eLicenser (dongle). The elicenser

activation code is required to activate your software after the installation. The activation code can

only be used once, but you can request a new one if you need to reactivate your software on a

different computer or after reinstalling your operating system.

Where can I find my elicenser activation code?

The source of your elicenser activation code depends on how you obtained your Cubase 7 software.

Here are some possible scenarios:

If you bought Cubase 7 in a box, you will find the elicenser activation code printed on a sheet

(Essential Product License Information) inside the box. Alternatively, you can also find the

code in your MySteinberg account under My Products.

If you bought Cubase 7 as a download from the Steinberg online shop, you will receive an

email with the elicenser activation code. You can also access the code in your MySteinberg

account under My Orders.

If you received Cubase 7 as a bundle with a hardware product, you will find the elicenser

activation code on a card or sticker inside the hardware box. You may also need to register

your hardware product online to receive the code via email.

If you upgraded from an older version of Cubase, you will receive an email with the elicenser

activation code after completing the purchase. You can also access the code in your

MySteinberg account under My Orders.

If you downloaded Cubase 7 as a trial version, you will receive an email with the elicenser

activation code after requesting it from the Steinberg website. You can also access the code in

your MySteinberg account under My Trials.

How do I use my elicenser activation code?

To use your elicenser activation code, you will need to install the eLicenser Control Center (eLCC)

on your computer. The eLCC is a utility that manages your licenses and allows you to activate them

by entering the elicenser activation codes. The eLCC is automatically installed along with your

Cubase 7 software, but you can also download it from [the Steinberg website].

Here are the steps to activate your Cubase 7 license using the eLCC:

1. Open the eLCC on your computer. You can find it under Program Files (Windows) or

Applications (Mac OS X).

2. Click on Perform Maintenance Tasks (or click on the Maintenance button at the top right if not

shown). This will update and synchronize your eLCC with the Steinberg server.

3. If you have a USB-eLicenser (dongle), connect it to your computer. The USB-eLicenser will

appear in the eLCC window. If you don't have a USB-eLicenser, you will see a Soft-eLicenser

(virtual license container) instead.

4. Click on the green Enter Activation Code button at the upper left of the eLCC window. A new

window will open where you can enter your elicenser activation code.

5. Enter your elicenser activation code in the input field. You can also copy and paste the code

from your email or MySteinberg account.

6. Click on Continue. The eLCC will verify your elicenser activation code and display the license

that will be downloaded and stored on your USB-eLicenser or Soft-eLicenser.

7. Click on Download License. The eLCC will download and store your Cubase 7 license on your

USB-eLicenser or Soft-eLicenser.

8. Click on Close. Your Cubase 7 license is now activated and ready to use.

Congratulations! You have successfully activated your Cubase 7 software using your elicenser

activation code. You can now launch Cubase 7 and enjoy its features and functions. If you have any

questions or issues regarding the activation process, please visit [the Steinberg support page] for

more information and assistance.
