Recipe: How to double your audience size in 2025

  1. How big is your audience today? Gather the numbers from the following places:
  1. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube
  2. Email list & CRM
  3. Student // Client list
  1. Double it. 🤣Now you have your target for 2025.
  2. Next you want to roughly calculate how many months/years it took you to build that audience. Let’s say you’ve been in business 3 years and have an audience size of 3000. That means you grew on average about 1000 people a year.
  3. If you want to get to 6000 IN ONE YEAR, then that means you’ve got to triple the audience building you did EACH year, to get an additional 3000 subscribers.
  4. This is all designed to set the “intention” of what it means to double your audience in 12 months. It’s all about expectations!
  5. For this example, you need 3000 new people in 2025, and I would calculate a goal that snowballs vs an equal amount.
  1. Use ChatGPT with this prompt to help you do the math:
    “I want to grow my audience by 3000 people in 2025. I want to set a target goal of new followers/subscribers but I don't want it to be 3000/12 because it takes time for me to ramp up. So I want a goal where the smallest amount is in January and then it gets bigger as the months go on. Can you give me an example of 12 months of audience goals that gradually increase as my efforts compound?”
  1. I got something like this. I could ask it to adjust if I want to. Maybe I want zero in January so I can use that month to build stuff!

  2. February: 150
  3. March: 200
  4. April: 225

  9. September: 350

  1. The next thing to do is to audit your current social media and online presence.   2. Now when it comes to ads, there are a few things to know. Ads are funny because it’s multiple skills in one:
  1. Ad strategy (what’s the plan and the goal of what you’re doing)
  2. Ad creation (how good are you at stopping the scroll)
  3. Ad setup (this is the techy ads manager stuff)
  4. Ad reporting (how well are things doing)
  1. When it comes to ad creative, there’s no one better to teach a bootstrappy way to get amazing ads out there than Cathy.   2. When it comes to growing an audience, it’s important for you to focus on one channel at a time, so you can really dial in that channel. Here are some examples:
  1. Social Bucket - This would be something like Instagram or Tiktok

  3. Relationship Bucket - This would be something like building an affiliate program or going on podcast interviews
  1. Pick one channel at a time and learn from an expert ON that channel. It’s important that you spend time building a habit, since things don’t happen overnight. Your paid list building will keep things running while you dig that well of organic leads.
  2. The next thing to consider is your motivation for showing up. Let’s face it… content can be tiring. There’s the issue of time of course, but also… how do you come up with good ideas? How do you start to think like a thought leader that people will want to pay attention to?

Recipe: How to get an evergreen flow of leads into your business in 2025

  1. If you haven’t read the recipe about how to double your leads, you should definitely read and follow that since it’s closely tied with the objective of evergreen leads.
  2. We want to specifically look at the WAY leads are interacting with you when they come into your world and show interest in an offer. This isn’t about low ticket leads (see the earlier recipe) but more about how to qualify people who want to buy coaching or services, or leads for courses and programs that are a little more expensive.
  3. The two primary ways to manage lead flow is through an application funnel or a webinar funnel. Let’s explain each and why you might need one or both.
  4. An application funnel is a funnel that doesn’t have a lot of fancy pages, but its signature hallmark is a pipeline and workflows in the backend that are keeping up with people. So you might have a sales page that leads to an application, and then a pipeline of emails and texts that evaluates their application and nurtures them to a call. Then after the call, the pipeline sends them contract and payment information to purchase. Application funnels are used a lot in agencies, coaching, and consulting. If you want to learn how to build an application funnel, there are three programs that we have that feature it.   6. Okay so how do you decide? Well, first of all, consider the price. If someone is going to buy something that’s between $500-$3000, you can probably do a webinar straight to checkout. If it’s more than $3000, or you have to pre-qualify people, then it would be an application funnel. If you’re only sending warm traffic to this offer, the application funnel is enough. But if you want evergreen lead flow, you’ll probably need a webinar in front of your application.
  7. You can see just how valuable these two funnels are and why so many people link them together when selling a high ticket offer. Lots of people ask us, what’s the difference between all these programs since there’s overlap in what it teaches?

  1. Alright, so once you have the funnels built, it’s time to get leads! This is a good time to remind folks that Recipe #1 will be a great way to get leads paying attention to you!
  2. Here’s our suggestion. There are four types of traffic: Social, Search, Relationship, and Paid. Let’s say you have a webinar that leads to an application funnel and you want evergreen lead flow.
  1. Social traffic is dependent on you showing up. It’s annoying but one way that’s working really well is using FG Funnels to create a DM automation on Instagram. Post a reel and ask people to comment with a word. When they do, it’ll send them an automated reply and a DM with a link. You can do this with FG Funnels and send people into your class!
  2. Search traffic is a long term play. So let’s talk YouTube. You do some keyword research and then start posting videos. In the description, you encourage people to watch your class. You can also do this with blogging and try to rank for specific keywords. These leads start to compound over time.
  3. Relationship traffic is powerful. This is related to being on podcasts, summits, showing up in other peoples groups. How can you offer a bite sized training to another community? When they ask where to learn more, you can drop the link to your funnel.
  4. Lastly, paid traffic. This is where you need your Ad Gorgeous skills and create ads that send people right into your webinar. If you wanted to send people RIGHT to an application funnel, you first need to warm them up. Post a bunch of content and “boost” it. Use that audience that’s watching and THEN send them an ad to your application funnel.
  1. So here is another way to get lead flow. Have you considered a paid workshop? A paid workshop has some of the benefits of a low ticket funnel in that you can run ads and recoup some of the ad spend through the workshop sales.   3. The answer to evergreen leads is really just math. How many people have you top of mind on any given day? And since it’s hard to be visible manually every single day, using funnels and ads to help you automate this is key. This means having good funnels built that are working well and that are optimized. So let’s talk about that for a minute.
  4. Many people think you can just set up a funnel and forget it. But you can’t. It’s like a baby. You want to constantly improve. But how do you do that? We call it split testing. If you’ve never tracked the numbers in a funnel before, and don’t know how to test changes to see if they work, Funnel Rx needs to be added to your cart. This will explain what is “normal” for a funnel, and then give you suggestions on how to improve.
  5. Here’s some quick back of the napkin math for how many people need to interact with you in order to get the lead flow you need. In general, you can expect 3-5% of your TOTAL audience to pay attention to you at any given time.
  1. If you have an audience of 5000 between emails and social, that means 150-250 will pay attention to you during a promotion.
  2. And then you have to consider the conversion rate of the funnel you’re running.
  1. Webinar: 40% register (80 people) 10% buy (8 people)
  2. Application: 10% apply (20 people) 30% close (6 people)
  1. These numbers can be increased if you do 1:1 DMs and follow up. Another reason you need a strong funnel that has a pipeline where you can track your leads.
  1. Remember, most people have more leads than they are actually paying attention to. Every person who comments, who emails you, who replies to your stories… These are all leads. What if you followed up with every single person every single day, nurturing a relationship and then asking for the sale? You might notice things go differently!

Recipe: How to be known for something unique in 2025

  1. “But my market is crowded. Everything has been done.” The most common thing we hear when people are trying to niche down, plant a flag, and be known for something. But there are lots of people making money right now – in all kinds of markets. Step one is to stop thinking because the market is crowded, there is no room.
  2. The most critical first step to being known for something unique is to make sure you have identified a PROBLEM to solve and a PERSON who has that problem. Our free Offer to Impact Challenge can help with this!
  3. Next, we need to deconstruct HOW you solve that problem. We’re looking for the nitty gritty step by step details of what you do, how you do it, and why you do it in that order. Even if your unique sauce isn’t going to be a course, there’s a HIGH value in pretending or thinking like a course creator because it forces you to document and get your process in writing. Then you can start to see if there is a framework that you can be known for.

  8. Social media is a great place to document your daily experiences and testing as you develop something unique. If you don’t have a clear bio and brand, it’ll be hard for people to follow you.   9. Pay attention to what gets shared and commented on. Notice when people are having aha! moments. These are clues that things you’re sharing are unique and different. Sometimes it’s not the information itself, but the way you describe it that helps people absorb it!
  10. Another reframe is to remember that what comes naturally to you, will by its very nature, feel normal and unexciting. It’s like having two arms. That doesn’t feel spectacular but if you’re a fish, it’s pretty damn cool. So don’t discount what you know as “nothing”.
  11. Repetition, repetition, repetition. Talk about what you do to LOTS of people over and over again. Eventually your message will spread and people will start to know you as “___________”. Good luck!

Recipe: How to get your coaching practice to multi-six figures in 2025

  1. First, let’s identify this exact number. I’m going to go with $360,000 a year or $30,000 top line revenue a month. There’s gonna be some math here, so roll up your sleeves!
  2. First and foremost, you need to get your coaching business off the ground. If you haven’t done so, this free article is SUPER helpful. There’s also a podcast version you can listen to.
  3. Launch Gorgeous Elite, True North Content Bundle, & Easy Launch It will be most helpful if you want to follow that article to a T.
  4. Alright, so let’s assume you’re in business, you’ve got the basics, and you’re pulling in about $5000-$8,000 a month. How do we jump to $360,000 from here? That’s 3-5x what you’re already doing, and my guess is… just trying to make $5000-$8000 work is tough enough as it is.
  5. Big mindset shift incoming… you need leverage. Leverage is the ability to get bigger results with less effort or time. So it doesn’t make sense to triple your output of time and energy, since you’re already tired. We need to use something else. Most people don’t realize that it takes money to make money, even if you’ve heard that phrase before. We can’t add more time, but we can add money and/or people.
  6. The first thing we have to do is make sure that your offer suite and value ladder actually can handle $360,000 a year. If your main package is $3000 for 3 months of 1:1 coaching (12 calls), let’s math that out. In order to get to $30,000 a month, you’d have to have 10 new clients every single month paying in full at the start of their contract.
  1. January: 10 NEW clients = $30,000
  2. February: 10 existing clients on month 2, and 10 NEW clients = $30,000
  3. March: 10 existing clients on month 3, 10 existing clients on month 2, and 10 NEW clients = $30,000 (yes you’re juggling 30 hours a WEEK of Zoom calls)
  4. April: The first cohort would end, the second cohort would be going and then the new cohort. You’d always have 30 hours a week of calls.
  5. With your remaining 10 hours a week, you’d have to be doing all your marketing, discovery calls, lead follow up, admin, money, etc. Doesn’t seem SUPER sustainable does it?
  6. To get enough discovery calls to even net 10 new clients, you’d need about 50 discovery calls a month (maybe even more).
  7. This is the problem. The offer suite doesn’t even work for the revenue goal.
  1. My recommendation is that if you have a 1:1 offer, you transition to flexible voice coaching. This will free up time and make it easier to have a full client caseload without burning you out. Scalable Coach Method teaches this (and heads up - we’ll be doing a relaunch and live training on this next year that students will get to participate in so I would jump on it). You can easily get to 30-50 clients without blowing out your schedule because you aren’t on the hook for a million zoom calls.
  2. Then make sure the price point makes sense. I recommend for 1:1 coaching:
  1. Beginners with not a lot of social proof = $500-$1000 a month for a minimum of three months
  2. Intermediate with social proof and at least 3 years of training = $1000-$1500 a month for a minimum of three months
  3. Experts = $1500-$3000 a month for a minimum of three months
  1. For some of you, this is the main lever you need to pull. For others, you’ll need to add more offers in your offer suite.   5. You either need a full client roster of 30 clients a month at $1000, or you need 15 clients at $2000/m. If you’re not in a niche that can handle that price tag, you can do 30 clients at $500/m for coaching and then you need to make $15,000 a month in course sales. That’s either 15 or 30 new students a month. You NEED ads. You NEED funnels. You NEED leverage.
  6. Another option is to work on getting your coaching/consulting into corporate spaces where you can charge more. You can also guest coach in other peoples’ groups and get a good retainer that pays monthly.
  7. So how much does this recipe cost? If you did EVERYTHING in it? $6302 with a savings of over $2700. But you can pick and choose the items that make the most sense for you! Play around with our calculator and see!
