About Us

Hyperion Financial is a fee-only financial planning firm serving clients locally in Reading and Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and virtually across the country. We pride ourselves in meeting clients wherever they’re at in their financial planning journey, and treating them like family. Our team of advisors currently serve 75 amazing families and carefully manage ~52 million in assets. Our team specializes in working with young families, parents of college-bound children, and individuals at or nearing retirement. Our vision is to have a small team of niche-focused advisors providing extremely high-quality service to our clients, while also allowing our team members to live their ideal lifestyle.

We are a young company founded in 2021 but growing rapidly. For more information about our firm, be sure to visit our website, and also check out our founder’s interview on episode 269 of the Financial Advisor Success podcast.

How to Apply

As a small-and-growing business, we can only afford to bring aboard the best possible partner to join our firm. If you think this could be you, please send an email to mike@hyperionfp.com that includes:

  1. Your resume in PDF format
  2. A 3-minute (or less) Loom video describing what makes you the best candidate and why you are interested in joining our firm

Our Application Process

  1. If we are thoroughly impressed with your resume and video, we will schedule a 1-hour “get to know you” zoom meeting with our Founder, Michael Hartman.
  2. If the initial meeting goes well, we will have you complete a personality assessment prior to a 1-hour follow up zoom meeting with all HF team members present.
  3. If all HF team members agree you could be a GREAT fit for our team, we will coordinate scheduling a series of follow-up meetings with various team members, where we will discuss with you all aspects of the business (business vision, financial planning and investment philosophies, systems & processes, ownership & legal agreements, etc.).
  4. If all HF team members agree these series of meetings have gone exceptionally well, we will invite you (and your family, if applicable) to spend a few days with our team and families in Reading, Pennsylvania. All lodging and transportation will be paid for by HF. We view this as the most critical step in the process, as each team member and their family are truly family to every one of us at HF.

*Our office is very busy, so please do NOT try to contact our team through any method other than the process described above. All other attempts to reach our office will be ignored.

*Due to the financial nature of our work and the age of our clients, you will be required to be fingerprinted and pass a thorough criminal background and credit check. The credit check doesn’t need to be spotless, just not anything that could put our clients at risk.
