You can also choose to disclose your data in the following ways:

Social media plug-ins and applications are controlled by the social networks themselves and are governed by their terms of use and privacy policies.

Account and profile access

Your choice

Emails and Text Messages. If you no longer wish to receive certain communications from us via email or text message, simply select "Communication Options" in the "Account" section of our website and uncheck the box next to the mailings you wish to unsubscribe from. Alternatively, you can click "Unsubscribe" in the email or reply STOP (if there are no other instructions) to the text message. Please note that you cannot unsubscribe from messages related to our service, such as account transaction messages.

Push notifications. You can choose whether you want to receive mobile push notifications from VOCA. On devices with some operating systems, notifications are automatically selected. If you later decide that you do not wish to receive these notifications, you can switch them off in your mobile device settings. We also offer push notifications on certain browsers. If you initially agree to receive these notifications and later change your mind, you can disable them in your browser settings.

WhatsApp. If you have activated WhatsApp messages linked to your VOCA account or profile and no longer wish to receive them, you can block them in your WhatsApp app.

Personalised advertising. Personalised advertising is online advertising that takes into account your likely interests based on how you use different applications and websites on the internet. If you use a browser, cookies and web beacons may be used to collect data to help determine your likely interests. If you use a mobile device, tablet or other streaming device that has a resettable device identifier installed, this identifier may be used to determine your likely interests. To find out about your choices available in relation to personalised advertising from VOCA, please refer to the Cookies and online advertising section below.

Messages based on a matching identifier. Some third party websites and applications allow us to promote our videos and services online to our users by sending a privacy-protecting identifier to the third party. A privacy-protecting identifier means that we convert the original data (such as an email address or phone number) into a value to keep the original data private. The third party compares the privacy-protecting identifier with the identifiers in their database. They will only match if you used the same identifier (e.g. email address) for VOCA and for the third party. If they match, VOCA can choose whether to send this advertising message to you via the third party's website or app, and optimise and more accurately measure the effectiveness of online advertising. You can opt out in the Advertising Messages section of the Account section of our website.

Information and your rights

You can request access to your personal data, to correct or update outdated or incorrect personal data held by us. You can also request the deletion of personal data we hold about you.

In the "Account" section of our website, you can access and update a wide range of data about your account, including your contact information, payment information for VOCA, and other information related to your account. You must log in to access the Account section.

If you are an account holder, you may download a copy of your personal information (you must log in to access the "Account" section) and follow the instructions.

If you have any other questions about our privacy practices, please contact our Chief Data Protection Officer or Privacy Office at info@voca.cc. We respond to all requests from users who wish to exercise their data protection rights in accordance with applicable data protection laws. To learn about additional choices you may make regarding your data, please refer to the "Your Choices" section of this Privacy Statement.

We may refuse a request if it is not justified or is not a legitimate request, including if it is extremely impractical, would require excessive technical measures, or could expose us to operational risks such as fraudulent activity. We may retain data as required by law, taking into account your choices, for the purpose of billing, record keeping and performing the tasks described in this Privacy Statement. We take reasonable steps to securely destroy or de-identify personal data when it is no longer required.

Safety

We take reasonable administrative, logical, physical and managerial measures to protect your personal data from loss, theft and unauthorised access, use and alteration. These measures are designed to provide a level of security that is appropriate to the risks of processing your personal data.

Other Websites, Platforms and Applications

The VOCA Service may be available on third party platforms and/or utilise features (e.g. voice control) of third party platforms, or contain links to websites operated by third parties whose data practices may differ from ours. For example, you may have access to the VOCA service via mobile and other devices. These websites and platforms have separate and independent privacy and data policies, privacy statements, cautions and terms of use that we encourage you to read carefully. In addition, you may encounter third party applications that interact with the VOCA service.

Changes to this Privacy Statement

We will update this Privacy Statement from time to time in response to changes in legal, regulatory and operational requirements. We will give notice of such changes (and when they take effect) in accordance with the law. Your use of the VOCA Service after these changes come into effect will be taken to mean that you are aware of and agree to them (if applicable). If you do not wish to recognise or accept changes to this Privacy Statement, you may stop using the VOCA Service. To see when this Privacy Statement was last updated, please refer to the "Last Updated" section below.

Cookies and online advertising

We and our Service Providers use cookies and other technologies (such as web beacons) and resettable device identifiers for a number of reasons. We want you to be aware of how we use these technologies, so this section explains the types of technologies we use, how they work and the choices you have about using them.

Cookies and other technologies, web beacons and resettable device identifiers

Cookies are small data files that are usually stored on your device when you look at something and use websites and online services. We also use other technologies such as browser storage and plug-ins (e.g. HTML5, IndexedDB and WebSQL). Like cookies, these technologies may store small amounts of data on your device. Web beacons (also known as invisible GIFs or pixel tags) often work in conjunction with cookies. In many cases, refusing cookies will reduce the effectiveness of web beacons associated with these cookies.

If you use the VOCA App on a mobile device, tablet or other device, we may receive resettable device identifiers for that device. Resettable device identifiers (also known as advertising identifiers) are similar to cookies and are found on many mobile devices and tablets (such as the IDFA identifier on Apple iOS devices and the Google advertising identifier on Android devices) and certain streaming media devices. Like cookies, resettable device identifiers are used to show more relevant ads and for analytics and optimisation purposes.

Why does VOCA use these technologies?

We use these technologies for a number of reasons, including to facilitate access to our services by remembering your information; to provide, analyse, understand and improve the use of our services; to enforce our policies and prevent fraud; to improve site performance, track visitor traffic and activity on the site; to place and personalise our advertising, analyse interactions with our emails, marketing promotions and advertisements on third party sites.

To better understand how we use cookies and resettable device identifiers, please see the information below.

In connection with the use of these technologies, certain websites and applications on which we advertise, as well as advertising technology companies with whom we partner to buy, place, optimise and/or measure the effectiveness of our advertising (collectively, "Advertising Partners"), may receive limited information from us for the purposes of targeting, performance measurement and advertising optimisation (such as the steps taken when registering and when visiting a website or opening/downloading an application).

Examples of the use of such information include measuring the effectiveness and optimising advertising campaigns by allowing Advertising Partners to track when and who saw an advertisement and subsequently registered on our service. Another example is that we do not offer subscriptions to those who are already VOCA users.

VOCA takes contractual and technical measures designed specifically to limit Advertising Partners' access to your video collection, the URLs you go to and the content you watch on our service.

How can I make choices about these technologies?

Choices about cookies

For more information about the cookies used on our websites and other types of online tracking (including the collection of information about your online activity over time by third party websites or online behavioural internet advertising services), click here. Our service does not currently support the "Do Not Track" browser feature.

Choice regarding discardable device identifiers

To opt out of personalised advertising from VOCA associated with drop-down identifiers on mobile devices, tablets or streaming devices, configure the appropriate settings on your device (usually located in the Privacy or Advertising sections of your device settings). You will still see VOCA adverts on your device, but they will not be tailored to your likely interests.

Choice through self-regulatory programs

VOCA supports the following self-regulatory programs that provide additional choices regarding privacy and personalised advertising.

Choices for other technologies

There are a number of choices for cookie-like technologies such as browser storage and plug-ins. For example, many well-known browsers give you the option to clear browser storage, usually under "Settings" or "Preferences". You can find out more about this in your browser's help or support. Other technologies, such as Silverlight storage, can be cleared within the application.
