GENERAL

The Bionics are the oldest species in all of Gaia, so old that no organic nor Bionic truly knows how long they have existed, being a race made of otherworldly material, stronger than anything in the universe of any lifetime, they are invincible to all physical damage, though with exceptions of weapons made specifically to destroy Bionic plating. Bionics have the most advanced technology in the universe, beyond any comprehension to other species. The Diadem and the Ones are stronger than all organics on Gaia put together.

SOCIETY

Bionics are so rare that most organics today think of them only as a myth, as for most Bionics refuse to enter organic atmosphere. They hold themselves so highly above all mortal/organic creatures and worlds that simply setting foot there would be disgraceful. Bionics live in a high society, high above all of the worlds atmospheres, completely unreachable by any being with lungs or flesh, their station floats gracefully in-between the stars, an intricate cylinder design made of indestructible material, hosting entire inorganic ecosystem and galaxies in a space station that goes by, simply, "Visage" or "Δ∴"

Sex within Bionic communities is regarded as a luxury, most Bionics being indifferent to it, it is uncommon for a Bionic to be interested in regular sexual activity, even with the extremely nerve-heavy genitalia they possess. But some partake in it often, usually having small communities and groups with the same sexual interest.

(R.E.D as an example is very lascivious, something quite rare. He often uses sex for humiliation, to dominate and/or cause pain, and of course for self pleasure). This is quite curious to other Bionics.

GENDER AND LIFESPAN

Bionics can live infinitely, with forever-changing and upgrading modules, indestructible chassis and the ability to transfer the entire being of a bionic into another chassis with ease, the Bionics are an eternal species.

HIGHER ROLES (in order of prestige)

THE DIADEM (The Crown)

The Diadem is the crown ruler of the Bionics, a small circle of 10, or "family" (though none are related) make up The Diadem, creating a decadarchy. The Diadem have never been seen by the masses, the diamond table, nor the 'Ones' being secluded and all powerful, they rule and dictate in secrecy, controlling the very fate of the Visage by will and strength alone.

All bionics are loyalists to the Diadem, each one living under them in fear and admiration, worshipping them as gods.

Adorned with golden, glowing V shapes. These are called a Diadem Sigil.

Additionally, all Diadem have their own Diadem mark which vary from bionic to bionic and is used for binding.

SEQUENCED ONES (The Ones) The Sequenced ones are personally created by the Diadem, each one created to their will, but the Ones will never see their creators in their lives, simply being guided by binding. Each One made unique for a purpose, from killing to politics. They are a lot like royalty, just under the Diadem, with endless wealth, power and influence in the Bionic society. The Sequenced Ones are rare, being only 10 at each time, one for each Diadem. Each bionic lower than the Ones will serve them with their lives if need be. the Ones often have their own assistants and underlings to do their mundane tasks for them.

Adorned with a glowing unique design called a Sequenced Mark, varies from bionic to bionic, used for binding.

EXALTED (The Diamond Table)

The Exalted are the high-order of the diamond table, they bring order to the masses of Bionics and are similar to a government, but have no say or authority over the Ones or the Diadem, they undertake political matters and enforce laws, they are often pompous and impudent, looking down to every being, and they especially hold a dislike to The Ones.

ASSISTANTS

Assistants are low-ranking Bionics created in bulk for assisting higher-order Bionics. Though their Chassis' are made in bulk, they are very easy to mod. Common mods for Assistants are "Increased Thought Capacity" for a higher memory range and overall intelligence boosts, and "Personality Mod" / "Extensive Personality Mod" Both unlock the ability to have a personality of their own, rather than a factory default which relies on rationality and effectiveness.

APPEARANCE

Unfortunately, not many people have been able to study a Bionic, so information is scarce, but what we do know is that Bionics are easily distinguishable, made with an unknown metal material, they stand out greatly, with no hair on their heads, instead an array or protrusions, or nothing at all atop of their screen-like craniums. Their heads lack mouths unless modded and have eyes that glow brightly by means of bio-luminescence and possibly circuitry. Their chassis' are often adorned with glowing sections, protected by a sort of fibreglass, along with their eyes. Their limbs are subtly sectioned, some may even have glowing sections.

Most Bionics have common luminescence colours on the cool side of the spectrum, but some unique Bionics that seem to be above the order, have unique coloured luminescence on the warm side of the spectrum.

To this day, we can only study them from observation and theory due to their exceptionally rare appearances in our organic atmosphere, and our technology simply cannot reach them. They still remain a mystery.

FAQ.

1) Do the Bionics need to eat / sleep etc?

they don't need to sleep or eat! But they can do both, its common for bionics in higher societys to drink something similar to alcohol, which sparks their organic inner tissue for a buzz, and with sleeping they never sleep perse, but instead they do something closer to meditation which again is more so for their organic parts to recover/rest. But again never needed, they could go their whole life without either ( not that dying is common but yknow )

2) Do Bionics allow body modifications for aesthetic purposes? Like say, cat ears etc.

Yes absolutely!!

3) Is it possible for a bionic to be share multiple roles, like be a assistant + companion or are they rigidly set in their hierarchy?

they are rigidly set in their heirachy, but the assistant role is super open and an assistant can be a companion! among other more civillian roles, btu they just can't do combat roles which is strictly reserved for sequenced and above.

4) The alloy that makes up the hard components of their chassis, is that similar to like, Tungsten on earth?

sadly i would have no clue, i don't know much about tungsten, but i would say it's nothing comparable to anything on earth. it'd be leagues stronger than anything we know of~

5) The nerves inside of them, do they go through the entire body are are the nerves centered in sexual organs?

SO the nerves are like.... how do i explain, uh.,.. thonk so the nerves themselves arent like.. an actual physical nerve like you and me would have, its more of a generalisation..(it's so hard to pull this from my brain into words) the chassis plating and siliconelike squishy bits on a bionic are ALL nerve, there isnt like a wee little wiggly nerve inside of it, the nerves are almost integrated as a part of the chassis and inner organic bits... i have no idea hwo to explain it but like, yeah. .. BUT i think you were mostly asking if they can feel touches on all of their chassis? and the anwser is yes :)

6) Their city, Visage, is it like a giant floating city in space? (Idk if you played the game Stray but that's the high tech vibe I'm getting)

I haven't played stray no! 🥺 but! it's more of a giant spaceship that is so large its basically a planet inside~ it's also cylindrical!

7) For a custom, what are the general qualifications to get a bionic?

so to get a bionic, you just have to comm me! anyone is really allowed one as long as they follow the rules, but i have to be the one to make it!

8) In Visage, are there other organisms that live there or is the entire city populated by Bionics?

There are no other organisms! they are... very unaccepting of anything other than themselves as a species, and any other organism in the visage would be brought back by red (since canonically noone else visits organic atmosphere but him)

9) Are there other forms of jobs / etc in Vision?

Like civilian jobs? :o there are civillian jobs like, maker, (they build shit using specified connection to the Visage, since it's alive and basically builds itself, they can help it along and almost be an architect alongside it), there are bionics who do companion work etc!

10) How many mods can a bionic have, in theory?

canonically a bionic can have infinite, but for customs, you can have 1 ultra rare and as many commons as you like!

i'm currently revamping the mod system and the rarities for that, so there will be a lot more options in the future!
