Piece Color Differentials ♟️

Ever feel like you’re getting a suspiciously larger number of games with the Black pieces than the White? The following histogram suggests that colors are fairly distributed over the course of a year, with most people having a difference of only 0-2 games.

However! A few people will fall at either extreme.

Harrison Stage had 5 more White games than Black.

Tim Radermacher, Riaz Khan, Owen Pelletier, Aaron Booth, Fucheng Bi, Tobin Gangi, and Blake Sepeda all had 4 more Whites.

Bill Murray had 6 more Black games.

Yuval Shemesh, John Blomer, and Ksenija Matus all had 4 more Blacks.
