Trans Boxing Collective, Trainer and organizer (October 2017-Present) Manage drafting of policy and ensure implementation that aligns with TBC core values and that allow TBC to partner effectively with local gyms, non-profit organizations and companies to offer safe, affirmative spaces for Trans and gender-non conforming people to learn how to box. Hold boxing, breathing and embodiment classes at the Brooklyn Community Pride Center and the Door, a drop-in youth center in Lower Manhattan. (HD)
Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ) Mass Incarceration Working Group Member (Aug 2017-Present) Organize support for candidates who support reducing the jail population and reforming cash bail systems, provide direct support to families whose loved ones are incarcerated or have been killed by police and provide administrative support for Just Leadership USA. (HD)

Orleans Parish Prison Reform Coalition Member (2014-2017)

Helped coordinate community-wide effort to hold local officials accountable to close the  illegally operating Temporary Detention Facility at Orleans Parish Prison and organized various efforts to elevate the voices of formerly incarcerated individuals in the movement to end mass incarceration. Worked with students as part of PACA’s After School Program for African Immigrants and Refugees (ASPAIR) program. I also worked specifically with one student to develop a digital story detailing his experience emigrating from Kenya to live in the United States. (NH)
