Volunteer Role Description
General Inquiries Line Administrator
TCR receives daily calls and emails from the public. These can vary from media interview requests, requests for information, interest in volunteering, offering donations, etc. We are looking for individuals to join our General Inquiries team to check messages, forward to the appropriate party and respond to when necessary. Each volunteer is assigned a specific day of the week to handle all incoming voicemail and email messages until 9:00 pm on their shift day.
Provide superior customer service by ensuring that all public inquiries are handled within 24hrs.

Good communication skills
Customer service experience, ability to communicate in professional manner
Team player and reliable
Proficiency with Gmail and Google Docs
Strong initiative and able to complete tasks with little supervision
Compassionate, patient, pleasant and positive nature
Able to troubleshoot problems quickly and professionally
Training new members of the general inquiries team takes time. As such, we ask that applicants be available to commit to at least 6 months of their time.
