While I can't pay them back, I can pay it forward and offer what I can do to folks in need. Right now, the whole world could use some crisis counseling. Please feel free to shoot me a text if you feel so inclined, and we can set up a mental health peer support session.

SUPPORT INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS

  • New York State is experiencing a homelessness crisis. LINK: Take Action
  • More than 80,000 households in the state are on the brink of homelessness, with state policies failing to match the scale of the crisis. Home Stability Support is New York's chance to bridge the gap between providing shelters and stable housing, but we need your voice to make it happen.
  • Make the call and tell Governor Cuomo that New York State’s budget must include HSS.
  • When you click the MAKE THE CALL button, the system will call your phone and patch you through.  PLEASE HAVE YOUR PHONE READY.
  • SCRIPT: “We have a chance to break the cycle of homelessness by funding Home Stability Support, which will keep New Yorkers in secure homes and help people move out of shelters. This statewide rent subsidy proposal has wide bipartisan support, so it’s now up to you to include HSS in the final NY State budget. Say yes to HSS so we can end New York’s growing homelessness crisis once and for all.”
  • TWEET: By refusing to fund Home Stability Support, @NYGovCuomo is perpetuating NY’s worst housing crisis in a century. In the midst of a deadly global health crisis, a lack of secure private housing places all NYers at even greater risk of contracting #COVID19. Shameful.
