Per the apartment complex, instead of paying your deposit to the apartment complex, you'd pay it to them since they would be cosigning on your behalf.

- Meet with a veteran representative at the Salvation Army every Wednesday from 10-12 for intake.
- They help to house homeless veterans- they will pay your application fee, deposit, and first month's rent. They can also help to secure a bed. Jared Rose can also be contacted at 540-519-5578.

Brownstone properties:
- Equifax credit score at least 600, no bankruptcy, evictions, or remaining balances from previous apartments.
- Brownstone charges one month's rent as a deposit. Your deposit does not apply to your rent; it is held in a separate account. Your deposit must be in the form of a money order or cashier's check
- Brownstone staff checks out keys for vacant properties only. Please schedule a time to come by their office from Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. They require a $20.00 CASH deposit, and a photo ID. Keys must be returned to our office by 4:30 pm. No lump sum payment accepted.
