Jhatkaa.org is a nonprofit campaigning startup committed to building grassroots citizen power across India in effective and innovative ways. Jhatkaa.org harnesses technology to help people take collective action on issues that interest or affect them, and create change that would not be possible if they acted alone. Jhatkaa.org also collaborates with civil society to engage citizens to hold corporate, cultural and government leaders accountable in real time at key decision moments through various digital communication platforms.
We’re looking to add a Campaigner or Senior Campaigner to work in Maharashtra on air pollution and climate change campaigns, based on experience, to our capable and effective team.
You’ll be responsible for running your own campaigns on air pollution and climate change, from end-to-end based in Maharashtra.

The role of a Campaigner is unique in India, and that’s why we do not expect you to come with all of the above skills and characteristics. But we expect passion, excitement and motivation about the work you’re doing and the willingness to learn a lot of new things. We will also provide you with the necessary skills and training to succeed in this role.

Fluency in English and Marathi are needed. Fluency in other languages will be an advantage.
