No Glitches Allowed - Participant Code of Conduct

As of 3-22-2023, this is the Participant Code of Conduct for No Glitches Allowed.

Mission statement

We wish to create an open and welcoming environment, and to make participation in our event and community a harassment-free experience for everyone.

Defining a participant, and representation.

A “participant” is someone who interacts with this event as a “runner”, “commentator”, “volunteer”, or any other way of participation in the event, as deemed by event staff.

As a participant of the event, you represent not only yourself, but also the event itself, indirectly all the event staff, all the other runners, our charity “GO Rescue Pet Adoption Center”, etc. As such, participants are held to a much higher standard than everyone else.

All participants of No Glitches Allowed are expected to abide by our Code of Conduct during online events that are hosted and/or associated with No Glitches Allowed.

Unacceptable behavior

Examples of unacceptable behavior, both on and off stream, include:

• Assuming or promoting any kind of hateful behavior, discrimination or inequality based on criteria included but not limited to: age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, level of experience, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion,  sexual identity and orientation or socioeconomic status.
• Trolling, insulting/derogatory comments, public or private harassment
• The usage of sexualised language or imagery, unwelcome sexual attention or advances, or the promotion and distribution of sexual content in our community spaces.
• Publishing others' private information, such as a physical or electronic address, without explicit permission
• Not being respectful to reasonable communication boundaries, such as 'leave me alone,' 'go away,' or 'I’m not discussing this with you.'
• Committing, promoting or threatening acts of physical violence
• Participation in other spaces that consistently and publicly violate these standards

Examples of unacceptable behavior on stream include:

• Starting and/or participating in arguments related to real-world politics

• This does not include general social issues / good faith causes (e.g. anti-racism movements, etc.), we recommend diverging to these on relevant grounds only.) Human rights are not politics.

• Overboard usage of obscene language
• Intentionally fostering or promoting a negative and or toxic environment

Reporting Violations

Violations of the Code of Conduct may be reported via the following methods:

• Email: sending an email to therealgrbow@gmail.com 
• Email: sending an email to ozmourn@gmail.com        
• Discord: Sending a direct message to any staff member with the “Enforcement” role.

All reports will be reviewed and investigated by the enforcement team and will result in a response that is deemed necessary and appropriate to the circumstances. Further details of specific enforcement policies may be posted separately.

We hold the right and responsibility to remove participants that are not aligned to this Code of Conduct, or to ban temporarily or permanently any members for other behaviors that we deem inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or harmful.
