What is changing?

  1. Why is MCJ changing?

The State of Colorado is committed to streamlining tools to enhance user experience and responsible use of state resources. My Colorado Journey (MCJ) is adapting to the evolving digital environment. Due to a number of factors — including contract, budget considerations, and tool duplications within our state’s system — there is an opportunity to improve the way Coloradans explore and engage in career pathways, connect educational aspirations, and inform their futures.

  1. What is changing?

Individual accounts will no longer be available after June 30, 2025. An updated version of My Colorado Journey (MCJ) will focus on popular features with the most use and engagement:

On July 1, 2025, Colorado will launch one new industry career pathway in Creative Industries and will refresh a robust Financial Services pathway within the broader Business Operations pathway. This will bring the total number of published career pathways to 16. 

MCJ’s Program Finder will be ungated, meaning it will no longer require a Customer account to access.

Professional user functionalities and the resume tool in MCJ will also sunset after June 30, 2025. Many of these features will transition to other tools, including the modernized Connecting Colorado platform, which is launching in June. A functionality crosswalk will be shared in June.

  1. When is MCJ changing?

Changes will be live July 1, 2025.

  1. Is MCJ going away?

No, MCJ is not going away. It is adapting to the evolving digital environment and will continue providing ways for Coloradans to explore and engage in career pathways, connect educational aspirations, and inform their futures.

  1. Will there be accounts in the updated MCJ?

No, individual and professional accounts are no longer available after June 30, 2025.

  1. What will happen to my account, and when will my account be closed?

Your secure account will automatically close after June 30, 2025. We encourage all users to download their resumes; assessments and career cluster surveys; and any outcomes, steps, and goals you wish to keep or reference.

  1. Can I preview the changes?

While the changes are not available for preview, the Careers in Colorado and Program Finder tool are available now.

  1. How do I stay informed of other changes?

Please check your email inbox. We are sending multiple email reminders, tips, and actions for you to take. If you have questions, please contact support@pairin.com.

We recommend that you log into your account and download your resumes; print or take screenshots of outcomes, goals, and steps; and assessment and career cluster surveys.

Your secure account will automatically close after June 30, 2025. You will no longer have access to your profile, your resumes, outcomes, goals and steps, assessment, and career cluster surveys.

  1.  Can I download my resume, assessments, and career cluster survey data?

Yes, by June 30, 2025, we encourage all users to download their resumes, and print or capture screenshots of their assessments, career cluster surveys, and any outcomes, steps, and goals you wish to keep or reference.

  1.  How can I download my resume, assessments, and career cluster survey data?

Steps and videos will be provided.

  1.  When is the last date to download data?

June 30, 2025, by 11:59 p.m (MT) is the deadline to download or print your work.

Print or capture screenshots of your outcomes and steps as a point of conversation with your high school counselor, career counselor, or workforce career development professional.

Where do I find the tools and support I am looking for?

Career Pathways

  1.  Which industry career pathways are available?

Currently, there are 15 industry career pathways published on MyColoradoJourney.com. On July 1, 2025, Colorado will launch one new industry career pathway in Creative Industries and will refresh the Financial Services pathway within Business Operations, bringing the total published to 16 career pathways.

  1.  How do I access career pathways moving forward?

Visit and bookmark MyColoradoJourney.com to explore career pathways in high-demand industries and access the Program Finder tool.

On July 1, 2025, Colorado will launch one new industry career pathway in Creative Industries, and will refresh its Business Operations with a robust Financial Services pathway, bringing the total published to 16 career pathways.

Colorado publishes career pathways as per Colorado State Legislation HB 15-1274. The Colorado Workforce Development Council, Colorado Community College System, and the Colorado Department of Higher Education annually collaborate to incorporate industry data into career pathway information within My Colorado Journey.

  1.  Is there a way to save career pathways that I am interested in?

Colorado’s career pathways are regularly updated and refreshed based on the latest information and data available. We recommend bookmarking and visiting  MyColoradoJourney.com to explore career pathways in high-demand industries.

Resume Building

  1.  Where do I go for resume building?

Register for an account on Connecting Colorado and connect with your local workforce center for a variety of no-cost services to assist with resume building, job listings, computer and internet access, career counseling, and job training opportunities.

  1.  Where can I go for personalized help and tools?

Register for an account on Connecting Colorado and connect with your local workforce center for a variety of free services to assist with resume building, job listings, computer and internet access, career counseling, and job training opportunities.

  1.  What happens if I am partway through outcomes, goals, and steps (OGS)?

After June 30, all login functionality for customer and professional users will go away. If someone is in the middle of their OGS, they will no longer be able to access it.

Professional Users Questions

  1.  Where do you recommend professionals go to support students or customers?

We recommend using Colorado Career Advising (CCA). Designed for career seekers, students, and advisors, the CCA Tool features a quick survey to identify strengths and motivators, laying the foundation for a personalized career action plan.

  1.  What is happening with the user data in MCJ?

After June 30, 2025, all login functionality -- individual or professional -- will sunset. After that date, you will no longer be able to access your account, resumes, and any tools or outcomes you’ve worked on. While data will not be publicly accessible, it will be securely archived in accordance with state data retention policies. If there is specific information you’d like to retain, please download or screenshot it before June 30, 2025.

  1.  What will happen to my tailored outcomes?

All outcomes will sunset after June 30, 2025. We recommend you log in before June 30 to view and print or screenshot your tailored content.

  1.  How can I download the outcomes that are completed? In progress?

There is no direct export feature for outcomes, but you can manually save the information by:

You can let clients know:

For professional users, you are welcome to download any report for your location. The Outcomes, Goals, and Steps responses report may be helpful if you have customers who are actively working through outcomes, so you can see how they have answered after the login functionality has been removed.

  1.  What will happen to my messages, and how long will I have to address them?

You have access to your messages through June 30, 2025, after which all accounts will be deactivated.

  1.  Will there be an autoresponder if anyone tries to message me moving forward?

All professional and individual accounts will close beginning  July 1, 2025, removing all functionality for sending messages or accessing information.
