PROMOTION AND RELEGATION

• The top 7 teams in each division in the Invitational League will be guaranteed an invite to participate in the Invitational League in Season 5.

• If there is a tie for last place in a division, the Division Tie-breakers listed above will be used.

• The top 4 teams overall from the Open League will also be guaranteed an invite to participate in the Invitational League in Season 5.

• For these purposes, the top 4 teams are defined as the 4 teams advancing to the Conference Finals, regardless of regular season standings.

• If there are additional spots available in the Invitational League in Season 5, it will be at the League Admins’ sole discretion whether to give preference for those spots to the remaining teams from the Season 4 Invitational League, additional teams from the Season 4 Open League, or newly created teams.

RACE PROCEDURES & RULES

• The ALTTPR League follows the rules set defined by the ALTTPR Racing Council.
        •
ALTTPR Racing Ruleset
• We will be using the ruleset as set out by the ALTTPR racing council, as of the day before the beginning of the regular season, with the exception that any glitches with rulings that are temporary and have not had a final decision made will be disallowed in the league. Any ruling made by the council during the season will not be allowed until announced by League Admins.

• Auto tracking for Items, Keys, and Cleared Map Locations is permitted.
• Races will use RaceTime.gg. You must be registered and be familiar with joining race rooms and racing with RT.gg prior to the start of the league.
• If RaceTime.gg is down, SRL will be used as backup.

• All races must be streamed on Twitch and VOD saving must be enabled.

• Racers must enable a 10 minute delay on their broadcast.
•
No delay will be required for spoiler log races.

• Players may not be in a restream channel or chat during the race. (Exception: Spoiler log races.)
• Watching other racers' streams
before the race is completed, including your own teammate’s streams, is not allowed. (Exception: Spoiler log races; both the runner and pilot may watch any stream.)

• All races will have a room created 30 minutes prior to the race's starting time by Sahabot. You will be sent a Direct Message on Discord inviting you to the race room. Restreamed races will begin 10 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time so you must be ready to start prior to that. You should start your stream with a 10 minute delay approximately 15 minutes prior to the start of your race. The SG Helper/Mod will generate your seed 5 minutes prior to the start of your race. If your race is not restreamed you will generate your seed 5 minutes prior to the start of your race.

• The League Bot will directly message you the seed for your race.

• All races for the week must be completed by Sunday Night 11:59pm Eastern Time. Any races not completed by this time will be counted as losses for both teams.

• Players who do not stream their entire race will be requested by the admins to provide a VOD. Failure to provide a VOD accounting for all missing segments from the stream will result in disqualification from that race.

• Players are expected to be on time for races. If you do not join the race room by 15 minutes after the scheduled start time, another eligible member of your team (i.e., has not yet raced that week, except for co-op weeks) may replace you. If no eligible member of your team is available, it will be at your opponent’s discretion how long to wait for you before disqualifying you from the race.

• In the event a player is disqualified for either of the above reasons, their opponent may offer a rematch, provided the rematch is completed by the normal deadline for that week’s races.

• For co-op, team members will communicate and share information verbally using one of the co-op voice channels in the League discord. Screen sharing is not allowed. Sharing information via a shared document is permitted. Shared documents are only allowed for the weeks marked ‘Co-Op Info Share’.
Do not use any logic to read and process the spoiler log.  Parsing of the spoiler log shall be restricted to basic text editor functions like Copy/Paste, Search, etc. Formulas, scripts and auto parsing are not permitted.
• The spoiler log will be posted in the Racetime.gg race channel at the beginning of the race.
• Only the pilot of the race should download the spoiler log.

• The runner of a spoiler log race may not view the spoiler log in any form while racing, whether in its original form or as a document of information gathered from the log, nor by any means, including but not limited to discord, twitch stream, shared document, etc.

• All information the runner receives in a spoiler log race must be given verbally by the pilot. (However the runner may also use information gathered from watching the restream and/or their opponent)
• All races that end in a tie in the playoffs will be re-raced by the same runners with the same game modes.
• Quickswap menuing is permitted for all matches

• We take cheating seriously and public accusations of cheating will not be tolerated

• Use this form to report suspicious play: https://goo.gl/forms/pMo4RlWFgxwLtXpD2

• Players are expected to abide by the spirit of the rules. Attempts to game the ruleset may result in disqualification from the league.
