Mission Statement

At Shefford Netball Club, we want every player to feel welcome, supported and proud to be part of the club. We aim to help players enjoy their netball, develop their skills, grow in confidence and feel part of a positive team environment. We believe success is not only about results, but also about effort, progress, friendship, respect, resilience and enjoying the game together.

Our Purpose

Shefford Netball Club is here to give players a safe, friendly and encouraging place to train, play, learn and belong. We want players to enjoy coming to sessions, families to feel confident in the club, and coaches, volunteers and supporters to work together to create a positive experience for everyone involved.

Club Objectives

1. Provide a safe and inclusive environment: ensure all players, coaches, volunteers, officials, parents and carers are treated with dignity, fairness and respect.
2. Develop every player: support each individual to improve their skills, confidence, fitness, tactical understanding and love of the game at a pace that is right for them.
3. Promote positive team culture: encourage commitment, communication, cooperation and mutual support across all teams and age groups.
4. Celebrate achievement in all forms: recognise effort, progress, resilience, leadership, sportsmanship and personal growth as well as match outcomes.
5. Encourage enjoyment and lifelong participation: make netball fun, rewarding and meaningful so that players want to stay involved in the sport for years to come.
6. Uphold high standards of behaviour: expect honesty, fairness, good sportsmanship and appropriate conduct from everyone connected with the club.
7. Build confidence beyond the court: help players develop life skills such as responsibility, respect, resilience, teamwork, communication and self-belief.
8. Strengthen our club community: work in partnership with families, volunteers, coaches and local supporters to create a club where everyone feels they belong.
