WORKSHOP DESCRIPTIONS:

8/24 Part-Time Employment Expo: Open to all Bradley students who are seeking paid, part-time jobs and internships.  Employers will feature on-campus and off-campus jobs that students can work throughout the year.  On-campus job opportunities are very competitive and limited, so students are encouraged to consider off-campus employers as well.

9/7 Navigating the Job Fair as First Generation: How can attending the job fair help YOUR success as a first generation student? We'll go over why to attend, how to sign up, first steps to prepare, and other resources through the SCC that will help you better prepare for success.

We'll offer this workshop IN PERSON and VIRTUALLY: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/88199377646

9/8 Resume Workshop: Learn how to begin your resume or revise a current one. Please feel free to bring your laptop.

9/10 VIRTUAL Resume Critique Day: This virtual event allows students to meet with an employer to receive feedback on their resumes. It is a great opportunity to connect with employers and receive their professional perspectives on your resume.

9/14 VIRTUAL Fall Job & Internship Fair: Registration for the fair within Handshake is required for students to attend. We HIGHLY encourage students to start using the Handshake Virtual Job Fair system a few weeks before the virtual fair. Held each fall, this all-majors fair is open to all Bradley University students and alumni seeking a full-time job, internship, co-op or part-time experience.

9/16 Wix.com, Building a Portfolio: Join Wix staff to learn more about creating your online portfolio website. We’ll cover how to plan a website, how to use the Wix platform, and explore professional design features. Sign-up to discover the basics in creating a Wix website as well as features to take your portfolio to the next level.  And... a one-year FREE Wix premium plan to all attendees!

9/16 Improving Keywords for Online Applications: Online applications can be particularly challenging due to applicant tracking systems. We know that specific skills based keywords, incorporated in your application materials can help you be more successful.

We'll offer this workshop IN PERSON and VIRTUALLY: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/82954978963

9/21 IN PERSON Fall Job & Internship Fair:  Held each fall, this all-majors fair is open to all Bradley University students and alumni seeking a full-time job, internship, co-op or part-time experience.
