Is your campus closed and moving to remote learning?

Here is a list of resources I’ve compiled through my PDCs and friends!

Please note: I am compiling these resources but have not necessarily tried all of them myself.

Adding - please email me at debatespeak at gmail dot com if you have any suggestions/additions to this list!

Thanks, Carol

Teaching Tools:

  • Flipgrid: Create threaded video conversations - easy to use phone app
  • Seesaw: Digital portfolio sharing
  • Remind: Communication and file sharing tool - can work via text for students who may have texting but lack laptops - you can have conversations but also send out assignments attached to the text
  • Screencastify: Record what’s on your screen/lectures to share. 5 minute limit per video for free option for teachers. Although according to this tweet, they may be willing to work with schools facing closure.

Blogs & Articles:

This is a link to a collective of resources being compiled by an educator-focused Facebook group that has even more links of resources (some duplicates with the above - I have not visited all of the sites on this list to vet them) ← This also has the link to Facebook group for teachers who are facing shutdowns and are moving to online learning.

The Facebook group I referenced in the paragraph above has developed a resource collection tool as well and sharing is encouraged. Check it out!
