RESOURCES TO SUPPORT NORTH HIGH RIDGE APARTMENT RESIDENTS

GoFundMe and Amazon Wishlist Links:

Amazon wishlist links created by the residents will be added if/when they become available. This allows others to help them rebuild their lives with items specific to their needs and preferences. Items from these lists will be sent directly to the affected residents or to their temporary addresses.

A general relief fund that will be divided amongst residents can be accessed here: https://gofund.me/5c6443a5

MISSING PETS

Please frequently check crawl spaces, under cars, decks, patios, etc. for missing cats. Doorbell and security cameras can also provide valuable information. Most importantly, do not chase the cats; if seen, contact the owners immediately.

One cat was found in a basement near Piedmont Park. Specifically, neighbors within a 1-2 mile radius of the Poncey-Highland neighborhood are asked to pay extra close attention for the following pets known to be missing:

  • Rambo, owned by Alex (470-259-1023)
  • Grey tabby with white eyeliner, lived in Building 1144

  • Juju and Tiki, owned by Sonya Ledford (706-994-0560)
  • If seen, take photos, text to number above, then call number above
  • Juju, male lighter Siamese cat. Seen 4/3/23 around 486 Sterling St SE in Little Five Points/Candler Park area.
  • Tiki, male darker Siamese cat. Last seen night of 4/20/23 around Rosedale Road, previously seen 4/3/23 around 599 Seminole Ave
  • Both cats are large with dark faces and big blue eyes
  • “A Siamese was spotted behind Euclid Apt on 1341 Benning PI NE. There is a similar Siamese there, so we are not sure. Also, Ponce church across from Urban Outfitters near playground and around the dumpster was a Siamese sighting.”

  • Lola and Charlie, owned by Melanie Farnham (404-789-9786) and Brian (443-791-1615)
  • “Lived in ground-level apartment facing North Ave. Lola (gray tabby) is very friendly. Charlie (calico) is a little skittish. Will respond to a bag of food being shaken.”

GIFT CARD DONATIONS

4/7/23 UPDATE: All locations are at capacity for material donation drop-offs. Gift card donations only are still accepted at the following locations:

  • Elemental Spirits Co.
  • Forte Salon
  • Intown Ace Hardware

While residents wait for GoFundMe money to distribute, gift cards are a great way to provide immediate funds for them to buy items specific to their needs: VISA, Publix, Kroger, Aldi, Target, Walmart, Amazon, Instacart, Doordash, Uber, Lyft, Sephora, Ulta, DSW, IKEA, etc.

Consider buying multiple gift cards in smaller increments to improve distribution amongst residents (i.e., five $10 gift cards instead of one $50 gift card). Temporary local shipping addresses are available for affected residents who need to make online purchases
