to Matthews Elementary School
for the 2026-2027 school year!
As MPTO Co-Presidents, it is our pleasure to welcome you and your family to the 2026-2027 school year at Matthews Elementary School! We are so excited for all of the upcoming activities and events that will take place at MES this year. It is going to be a great year at MES, and we encourage you to “Bee” involved in the MPTO!
What is the MPTO? The Matthews Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (MPTO) is a non-profit organization that acts as a partnership between parents/guardians and the teachers and staff at Matthews Elementary School. We strive to: Enhance and support the educational experience for all children at our school; volunteer in a multitude of ways at MES; provide funding for needed supplies, technology equipment, class parties and so much more; and sponsor fun events like Boosterthon Fun Run, Stingerfest, Family Bingo Night, Book Fairs and Blue & Gold field day.
Here are a few things to get you started and “Bee” involved this school year.
- Join the MPTO for only $6 per family. Pay your annual membership at www.pay4schoolstuff.com. We encourage all volunteers and families to join the PTO.
- All students in grades 3-5 will be receiving an Agenda for the school year. You will not need to purchase one this year!
- Register to be a volunteer at www.cmsvolunteers.com. ALL volunteers must be registered through CMS before volunteering at MES. Volunteers must register each year! We highly encourage you to register!
- Follow Matthews Elementary PTO and Matthews Elementary School on Facebook to receive updates about events at school as well as PTO events.
- Read the PTO newsletter delivered with the weekly school update.
- Attend a PTO meeting! MPTO meets on the first Thursday of every month in the Media Center at 7pm. Our first MPTO meeting is Thursday, September 3rd. SLT (School Leadership Team) meets at 6pm and MPTO at 7pm, and all are welcome to attend.
