Service Producer

Description
The service producer is responsible for the overall flow of the services.Their goal is to ensure all the pieces of the service flow cohesively in order to minimize distractions and create an environment that leads people to find and follow Jesus. The Service Producer reports to the Production Director .
Responsibilities
- Control Planning Center Live
- Oversee flow and feel of worship services
- Train and mentor others on the team
- Ensure services and practices stay on time
- Be a problem solver by minimizing distractions and anticipating issues
- Ensure worship, tech, and pastoral teams are prepared for each service
- Take ownership of full run-throughs, production meetings and communication with stage manager.
- Own the communication between all service teams. (Video, Audio, Stage, Worship, Pastoral, Media)
- Initiate checklist procedures for teams at the proper time
Schedule / Meetings
- Rehearsal (Typically 2-3 hours prior to scheduled service)

Audio 1 (A1)
Description and Responsibilities
Description
Audio 1 is responsible for managing the sound design of the service. They work with the worship team to ensure that all in-ear monitors are working correctly and sound check the band to optimize the mix into the house.
Responsibilities
- Create house mix and optimize during services
- Communicate with A2 regarding monitor mixes for stage to give the band and vocalists audio support
- Work with the A2 position to troubleshoot audio issues before, during, and after service
- Multitrack all services for archive and audio team development purposes

Audio 2 FOH (A2 FOH)
Description and Responsibilities
Description
The A2 Position provides assistance to people playing and singing on stage to get their In Ear Monitors and headphone mixes set to their satisfaction while helping the A1 achieve an efficient soundcheck. Once the band rehearsal is underway, your efforts should be focused on setting up the lobby for the Pre Game (Volunteer Rally) that happens in the lobby. During the service, you should be on the lookout for low battery levels and making sure that wireless mics are turned on and working properly.
Responsibilities
- Work with musicians to help dial in their personal headphone mixes
- Naming channels on the LiveMix headphone boxes
- Oversee audio checklist implementation on behalf of Audio Team (A1, A2 etc)
- Review battery charge before each service of all applicable electronics
- Work with the A1 position to resolve audio issues that arise during service
- Oversee the Pre-game (Volunteer Rally) that starts promptly at 8:50. Control Lobby Music and Host Mic for that area
- Have a working knowledge of how to troubleshoot Ableton including: muting, routing, transposing and remote pedals
- Turning on all monitors (5) in lobby before pregame

Stage Director
Description and Responsibilities
Description
The Stage Director manages all aspects of production on the stage. Working under and in coordination with the Producer, the Stage Director troubleshoots problems that arise during practice or service from the band, assist with transitions (moving pulpit, items on or offstage), and relays necessary service updates to or from the tech booth and the stage.
Responsibilities
- Assists worship team or pastors with issues that arise on stage during service or practice
- Ensures that teams are ready for transitions in service
- Move any stage elements to and from their position during service
- Communicate with the Producer/pro for service updates

Lighting Operator
Description and Responsibilities
Description
The lighting operator runs the lighting board from the beginning to end of service. Their job is to ensure that all lights function and change at the required times to enhance the worship experience and minimize distractions.
Responsibilities
- Run lighting board during service
- Adjust as necessary
- Have basic knowledge of lighting board

Lighting Designer

Description
The lighting designer sets the creative vision for worship each week. They create an experience that drives people to a deeper place of worship.
Responsibilities
- Design lighting experience for all worship songs for Sunday.
Schedule / Meetings
- Mid-Week: 2-4 hours midweek to create lighting experience for following Sunday.
- Growing knowledge of Chamsys (tm) Lighting Board and software

Media Operator (Graphics)
Description and Responsibilities
Description
The Media Operator is responsible for running slides and media during a service. Their attention to detail minimizes visual distractions during the service to create an environment that leads people to find and follow Christ.
Responsibilities
- Ensure ProPresenter service order aligns with what’s listed in Planning Center.
- Review song lyrics to ensure that they are written correctly and in the right order as the band plays.
- Work with speaking pastor so that sermon slides are up to date.
- Work with A1 and Lighting Operator for transitions and videos.
- Make sure countdown clock starts for pastor during service
- If service order changes mid-service, be ready to adjust accordingly

Podcast Editor
Description and Responsibilities
Description
The Podcast Editor edits sermons and uploads them online so that the message of Christ can be broadcasted around the world.
Responsibilities
- Edit sermon recording, reviewing content and audio.
- Post podcast online for distribution over the Internet.

Other Requirements
You must have a working knowledge of or be willing to learn Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) like Ableton, Pro Tools or Garage Band.
Time Commitment
Camera Operator
Description and Responsibilities
Description
The Camera Operator captures services on camera. They are at attention during the entire service, ensuring high video quality and troubleshooting camera issues.
Responsibilities
- Turn cameras on each service and ensure settings are prepared for recording.
- Find impactful and/or creative shots to be displayed on the live stream or video screens during the service.
- Follow directions of the Video Director to find the needed shots.

Video Director
Description and Responsibilities
Description
The Video Director is responsible for broadcast video during each service. They work with the camera operators to find the best shots to be displayed either on the video screen at church or as part of a livestream or service recording.
Responsibilities
- Choose the right shot/input at the right time during service
- Guide the camera operators to the desired shot
- Ensure that service is of high quality in look and feel
- Ensure cameras are colored and gained properly and matching

Other Requirements
Must have a growing knowledge of video production. This can be learned on site over many weeks of service.
