On February 17, California approved a proposal to send $600 stimulus checks to millions of undocumented immigrants who did not qualify for federal aid, called the "Golden State Stimulus."
If your income is less than $30,000 per year--and you therefore qualify for the California Earned Income Tax Credit (CalEITC)--and file your taxes using an ITIN, you can receive $1,200. If your income is less than $75,000 per year and you file taxes using an ITIN, you can receive $600. The program also includes a $600 benefit for households that are enrolled in CalWorks, SSI / SSP, and the Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants. These benefits would be distributed in mid-April, according to the government.
To OBTAIN the Golden State Stimulus, you must file your 2020 tax return.

If you do not have an ITIN already, it is very important that you start the process of obtaining the number as soon as possible, because it usually takes 6 months to be assigned a number, and you have to file your taxes by October 15, 2021 at the latest to obtain state aid.
