A Brief Guide on How to Get an Ampere Card:
By: そら- Sora
The problem:
Ampere cards are in extreme high demand, and stock is nowhere near sufficient to provide ample stock to everyone. As such, many people are frustrated and are unable to obtain a card. Stock drops typically last just seconds, if at that, which makes it extremely difficult for people who are not in the “know’ to get them. As such, I have detailed methods that I am aware of to increase the likelihood of obtaining an Ampere card.
Solution part 1: Knowing when drops occur
Drops for these graphics cards are highly random at times, but there are some known patterns that occur.
Known Patterns:
Best Buy US: typically sometime between 1-5 PM EST. Typically during the latter half of the work week. Drops have been known to occur though at different times as well, so be aware.
Newegg US: Typically sometime between 5-9 PM EST, any day of the work week. Drops have been known to occur though at different times as well, so be aware.
Zotac: typically occurs either at 9 PM EST, or 3 AM EST, any day of the work week. Drops have been known to occur though at different times as well, so be aware. “Drops tend to occur specifically at about 9:20-40pm EST” - CryptoNight
Many drops occur randomly though. As such, it is advisable to acquire trackers to be notified when drops occur.
Trackers I am aware of:
ATR-STONKS
PCBUILDHELPER.COM
Snail Monitor (paywall to unlock trackers, Newegg is free)
Falcodrin’s Community Discord
Nvidia discord (locked entirely behind level 15)
NowInStock
Nvidia Snatcher
3080 Stock Updates
BroBot 3080:
NvSnatcher (currently not functioning, but should be back up soon)

Twitch Streamers that stream Nvidia Snatcher:
JoelWRX Falcodrin
Nvidia Snatcher Program (Warning, Nvidia Snatcher itself is intensive on data. Falco eats through 9 tb a month. Don’t use if you have metered internet) :

Distill:
After getting a hold of several or all of these trackers and becoming acquainted with them, the chances of you being notified of a drop before everyone else increases. This garners you precious seconds to add to the card and check out before others inevitably crash the server.
Solution Part 2: Tips and tricks to speed up checking out as fast as possible.
Amazon:
Use 1 tap pay if possible. In order to do so though, you first have to set it up. Do this before a drop. Make sure you are logged in before a drop.
Bestbuy: use apple pay, or add a payment method before a drop and memorize the security code for your credit card. DO NOT USE PAYPAL, it is too slow. Apple pay is preferred, as you can 1 tap buy in 2 seconds flat. Make sure you are logged in before a drop.
Zotac: Make sure that you are logged in before expected drop times. YOU CAN NOT CHECK OUT FAST ENOUGH if you are not logged in with all your info such as your shipping address already on your account. ZOTAC always crashes. Use these links when it does to initiate paypal, which is the only payment method.

Newegg: use apple pay, or add a payment method before a drop and memorize the security code for your credit card. DO NOT USE PAYPAL, it is too slow. Apple pay is preferred, as you can 1 tap buy in 2 seconds flat. Make sure you are logged in before a drop.
Solution Part 3: Other tips and tricks
Newegg: They offer bundles that combine a card with something like a MOBO, ram, etc. etc. These tend to stay in stock longer, and oftentimes the combo item can be returned. Bots do not pick these up usually on trackers except a few, and bots tend to not buy these. (Credit to Tenescra for reminding me)
Add any card you want in the future to a wishlist. On the newegg app, you can click on the wish list and continuously refresh it. When drops occur, you can instantly press add all to cart if anything is in stock when you refresh. This means you do not have to keep looking for the cards via search and is an easy way to sort and refresh the items you want. However, be careful during big drops. You might end up adding loads of cards to cart, making this a double edged sword.
Instant buy links do exist for Amazon. Can't find them though. Currently looking for them.
